Regrettably, Noah and Allison had reignited things after last week’s episode saw them comforting each other after her grandmother had passed away.
It seems that after such a tragedy the two realized they couldn’t live without each other and so after some time had passed – they started to meet up again. Although, apparently, no was playing around this time because Allison and Noah did more than just see each other. They eventually crossed certain boundaries there’s no turning back from.
On one of her visits into the city, Noah couldn’t find a hotel so he brought Allison back to his house. Luckily there was still a part of Noah that had some common sense so he was smart enough not sleep with his mistress in his wife’s bed, but that incident was definitely a turning a corner in their relationship.
After that, Noah started to talk about her possibly moving into the city. Where she could stay on at an apartment that was nearby while he held off on getting a divorce from Helen until their eldest left for college. But Allison hadn’t liked that plan.
She saw it as Noah basically having it all while she remained his dirty secret. So Allison ended up leaving the city earlier than she had planned. And what she did next was really done out of spite.
Allison ran into Oscar on her way back from the city and because she was in a bad place (post-Noah) – she encouraged Oscar’s usual flirting. And that led to them sleeping together. Which in all honesty wasn’t as bad as it sounded. Surprisingly, sleeping with Oscar actually had a benefit.
The two got to talking and it wasn’t that awkward morning after chat either. It was a deep conversation and Allison revealed she was going to leave her husband. Apparently Allison’s plan was to take Cole’s share from the estate sale and from there she was going to use the money to get as far away from the island as possible.
But then Oscar burst her little happy bubble. He told her he had looked into the family farm and what he had found out was that Cole’s mother had refinanced the place to the hilt. Meaning Allison is not going to get as much money as she planned.
And even after Allison had confronted the other woman – Cole’s mother still remains a tad delusional. She seems to think her son isn’t really going to sell the farm. That all his talk about what he’ll do after he gets the money is just another one of his pipe dream. So, ultimately, she doesn’t want to tell Cole about their financial difficulties. In her mind, “why bother him”!
Allison tries in vain to shake her mother-in-law out of her daydream but the other woman is just not having it so. So Allison then had the situation turned around on her. Her mother-in-law accused her of attempting to wreck their family. And then she implied that Allison’s son is only dead because of Allison.
The older woman probably didn’t mean it. It was simply something to throw at Allison to get her to stop talking. Yet her plan resulted in some unexpected consequences.
After that nasty confrontation, Allison decided to leave the island even though she wasn’t going to get any of the money and shockingly her husband left with her. It appears that after he had found his mother has been lying to him – all wanted to do was get away from her. So the Lockharts left together to start over somewhere new.
And, well, that didn’t spell out anything good for Noah.
Though he appeared to have other things on his mind while she was busy making up her own .Noah’s teenage daughter Whitney was pregnant and her parents hadn’t found out about it until after she was three months along. So of course they were in shock. Yet they each approached her pregnancy in a their own way. Helen was upset but she knew how to still talk to her daughter. Meanwhile, Noah just wanted to know who was behind it. That’s how he phrased it. As if it someone else’s fault that his daughter was pregnant.
He wanted to know who knocked her up. And Whitney refused to her parents. As far as she’s concerned, she was getting it handled so a name shouldn’t even matter. But, later, Noah followed her to her Planned Parenting appointment. He needed some answers so he went there in hopes the “culprit” would show up and unfortunately that’s where he saw Scotty Lockhart (otherwise known as the victim that had recently died under suspicious circumstances).
So you see things with Allison were complicated enough. Yet Noah still felt some kind of draw to Allison so he told his wife he needed to leave. And Helen was so angry with him – she “helped” him pack.
THE END!
