Noah left his wife and family on last week’s episode of “the Affair”. Yet when it came to be her turn, Allison turned out to be the one that was gun shy. She stayed with her husband and because of that decision – Noah has been living it up ever since.

He’s writing more than he ever used to and in the meantime he’s also been screwing everything with a skirt. So life should be looking up for someone like Noah. But for some reason it isn’t. And that’s all because of the guy that knocked up his daughter.

Noah had caused a public disturbance when he attacked the other man in waiting room of the planned parenting facility. So now he has attend special kind of waiting room (probably leading to death or hell) everyday until that disturbance charge is cleared from his record. If he doesn’t go then he loses tenure at his job.

It all sounds so bad when it’s combined together but for some reason Noah’s publisher is envious of Noah’s life. It’s like the ultimate married man’s dream! No responsibilities or a wife hammering on at you!

But Noah doesn’t know what he wants and neither does his wife for that matter. Her mother had hired a private investigator to collect evidence against Noah in a divorce proceeding and yet Helen didn’t want to use it. She was literally sitting on proof of her husband screwing other women and attacking the man that impregnated their daughter and still she didn’t want to use it. All she really wanted was her husband back.

And she told him so. Though they had bigger things to contend with. Like Whitney’s older lover.

Helen wanted to press charges (as was her right) and she had convinced Noah to go along with her plan. But that was before he had found out that Helen had been badmouthing him to his kids. It seems Helen was so angry at him – she told her eldest all about what happened. And she had also gone on to hint to Noah possibly being s sociopath.

So after Noah found out about his daughter’s low opinion of him – he wanted to reconsider pressing charges. And Helen told him she was going to go ahead. Even it was without him.

Though, their biggest problem ended up being Whitney. She apparently ran away in the middle of the night and had hopped on the first train that would take her to Scotty’s.

Helen and Noah went after her but by time they arrived at the farm – Scotty’s mother had claimed her son was gone. She said she separated him and Whitney. And she also mentioned that she would have stopped everything if she had known about it in time.

Mrs. Lockhart promised to do everything in her power to keep Scotty away from Whitney. And she asked in return is that Helen wouldn’t press charges. So Helen, in spite of the situation, was seriously considering listening to Mrs. Lockhart’s advice to just let things go when Scotty came out of his little hideaway too early.

Noah attacked Scotty the moment he saw him and who know he probably would have killed him then and there if Cole hadn’t intervened with a gun.

Rewinding back, though, it was revealed that Allison hadn’t gone back to her husband. She actually spent the past couple of months travelling with her hippie mother. And it was only recently that she showed up back in town.

She came back and the first thing she found out is that Cole’s family had lost the their land. And the truthfully that was the only reason she had come back. So once she realized there was nothing there for her anymore – she wanted to say goodbye to it all.

Allison told Cole that she wasn’t coming back to him and that was her final decision. But eventually she got mixed up with the Whitney fiasco and so she stayed around to what ended up being a confrontation between Noah and Cole.

Like Noah’s version, Cole pulled out a gun but she doesn’t describe as being in defense of his brother. She remembers it as Cole being violently jealous and he having to talk him into not killing himself.

Yet what matter most of all is the end result. And that was Noah and Allison fast forward to the present being together. It seems they stuck out and ended up getting an apartment together.

Although that didn’t stop their house of card from falling down because the season finale ended on a cliffhanger. The last we saw of them – Noah was being arrested for Scotty’s murder and Allison had promised him she was going to find a way to get him released.

THE END!
