Tonight on CBC their Emmy award winning show THE AMAZING RACE continues with a new episode, “Baby Bear’s Soup.” On tonight’s episode one major mistake jeopardizes Mark and Mallory’s chances to keep racing. Did you watch last week’s première episode? We did and we recapped it right here for you.
On last week’s episode Phil Keoghan returned as the host and this season 11 all-star teams embarked on a trek around the world for approximately 25 days. On last episode Twin sisters Natalie and Nadiya were eliminated from The Amazing Race All-Stars.
On tonight’s episode Mark and Mallory continue to struggle with communication and one major mistake jeopardizes their chances to keep racing. In the Road Block, teams must assemble a toy car and then deliver it to the Guangzhou Children’s Cultural Center in order to receive the next clue.

Tonight’s episode of Amazing Race opens at an award-winning Opera House in China. Jet and Cord won the last leg of the race so they will depart first, and they must find the Chen Clan Academy for their next clue. Jet and Cord have a lot on their plate because they are trying to determine who to give their extra Express Pass to and when it will benefit them the most. Big Brother alums Brendon and Rachel are the second team to depart, followed by Margie and Luke.
Brendon and Rachel are the first team to arrive at Chen Clan Academy and receive the next clue, which the martial arts student stamped on their foreheads. They began running out on the street and asking taxi drivers if they recognize the address on their foreheads.
Jet and Cord departed first, but they still haven’t found the Chen Clan Academy. They made a mistake of trying to get to the academy on foot, when all of the other teams took cabs and the metro. Jessica and John arrive at the Chen Clan Academy in 8th place.
Dave and Connor are currently in first place, and arrive at the Roadblock. They have to find a box of parts, and assemble a motorized toy car. They are shocked to see that there are dozens of parts and the instructions are all in Chinese. Brendon and Rachel arrive at the Road Block in fourth place, followed by Mark and Mallory. Jet and Cord and the Caroline and Jennifer are in a race for last place.
Mark and Mallory complete the Roadblock first, and now they have to transport the toy car to the next leg of the race, a children’s school. Dave and Connor and Margie and Luke finish soon after them and strap their cars to a taxi. Jet and Cord and Caroline and Jennifer finally arrive at the Roadblock.
Halfway to the school, Mark and Mallory realize that Mallory left Mark’s backpack at the Roadblock.
Meanwhile back at the Roadblock, Jennifer is trying to convince Cord to give her and Caroline the extra Express Pass. Brendon and Rachel finally finish the Roadblock at the same time as Jet and Cord. Jet and Cord caved and gave Caroline and Jennifer their Express Pass.
Mark and Mallory deliver their car at the school and then Mark wants to go back to the Roadblock and get his backpack. Mallory thinks it will cost them the race if they go back and get the backpack instead of moving on to the next leg of the race.
The other teams are arriving at the school and delivering their cars. None of them seen Mark’s backpack. The next leg of the race is a detour, teams can choose between playing tetherball, or getting an ancient Chinese therapy remedy, which includes putting burning hot cups on their bare backs.
Margie and Luke arrive at the park to play tetherball, which isn’t as easy as they thought it would be. Luke and Connor arrive right behind them.
Joey and Meghan and John and Jessica are still struggling to assemble their cars at the Road Block. Meghan is furious that Caroline and Jennifer got the Express Pass and skipped the Roadblock. Mark and Mallory find Mark’s backpack laying in the street and then rush back to the park to play tetherball.
Dave and Connor complete their teatherball detour and must make their way to the pit-stop on Shamian Island. Caroline and Jennifer are right behind them. Mark and Mallory, John and Jessica, and Meghan and Joey are still struggling to finish the detour.
Brendon and Rachel arrive at the pit-stop in first place, immediately followed by Margie and Luke. Caroline and Jennifer arrive at the pit-stop in third place, followed by Dave and Connor, and Flight Time and Big Easy. Jet and Cord arrive at the pit-stop in 6th place, immediately followed by Leo and Jamal. John and Jessica and Joey and Meghan arrive in 8th and 9th place.
Mark and Mallory final finish the detour and arrive at the pit-stop in tenth place, they have been eliminated from the Amazing Race.
