Tonight on CBS the Emmy award winning show The Amazing Race returns for yet another exciting installment. On “Can’t Make Fish Bite” the race continues in Colombo, Sri Lanka, where teams go fishing to receive a clue.
On last week’s episode the race continued in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. One racer’s feet started bleeding during a Roadblock, while another participant suffered a meltdown during a difficult Detour. At the last challenge Brendon and Rachel spent a lot of time at the Sky Bar trying to finish their cocktail. Brendon and Rachel finally arrive at the Pit Stop in 8th place. However, last week is was not an elimination round. So they were not eliminate from Amazing Race. However, in this week’s race they will have to finish an extra task the other teams do not. On tonight’s episode you can count on a lot of exciting twists and turns. At one point, in a Route Marker, Father/son team David and Connor receive a blessing from a monk at the Buddhist temple before receiving the next clue. The race continues in Sri Lanka where teams struggle to get a bite when fishing for their next clue.

Jet and Cord depart first, followed by Dave and Connor, the two teams head to the travel agents to try to score plane tickets to Sri Lanka. Leo and Jamal depart third and decide to skip the travel agents and try their luck purchasing tickets at the airport. Dave and Connor arrive at the same travel agent as Jet and Cord, and purchase tickets to the same flight, so far all of the teams are booked for an 11:00 PM flight.
Brendon and Rachel are the last team to depart, and they will also have to complete a speedbump this leg of the race. They arrive at the travel agent and learn that the 11:00 PM flight is full. They are going to have to take a plane to Singapore and then run through the airport and take another plane from Singapore to Sri Lanka. They have less than thirty minutes between flights and there is a huge chance they may miss the connecting flight to Sri Lanka. Brendon and Rachel get lucky and catch their connecting flight to Sri Lanka and are now currently in first place.
All of the teams begin arriving at the temple in Sri Lanka, and they learn that the gates don’t arrive until 5:45 AM, they have to sit and wait together. Meanwhile Marge and Luke still aren’t even Sri Lanka, they are still at the airport, they missed the 11:00 PM flight that all the other racers took.
At 5:45 AM the Buddhist temple opens and the racers head in to get blessed, and they receive their next clues, which instruct them to take the train to Galle. The racers arrive at Galle Train Station and then take taxis to their detour. The detour on this leg of the race is fishing or spinning. In spin control the racers must learn a traditional Sri Lanka dance that includes spinning discs on a stick. The fishers have to swim out in the ocean and sit on poles while fishing, once they catch a fish they have to place it in a bag and give the bag to one of the tribesmen who will give them their next clue. Dave and Connor catch two fish right off the bat, and complete the detour, they are currently in first place. Flight Time and Big Easy master the spinning dance and get their next clue, they are currently in second place. Leo and Jmaal finish the detour third and get their next clue.
Meanwhile Margie and Luke finally arrive in Sri Lanka and head to the Buddhist temple, they are currently in last place. Brendon and Rachel finally master the spinning disk dance, and are currently in 6th place. Jessica and John are still struggling to catch fish.
Flight Time and Big Easy arrive at the roadblock, where they have to correctly sew a shirt at a factory and then deliver it. Dave and Connor and Jenn and Caroline arrive right behind them. Jessica and John decide to switch detours and do the spinning disk dance.
Brendon and Rachel arrive at the factory, and find their Speed Bump. They have to screen print 15 t-shirts before they can start the roadblock task.
All of the teams are struggling with sewing their shirts, Connor finishes his shirt first, but it is not approved by the team leader. Jessica and John arrive at the roadblock in seventh place.
Caroline and Jennifer and Dave and Connor finish their shirts first, and head to pit stop. Dave and Connor finish the race in first place and Caroline and Jenn finish in second place.
Meanwhile at the factory Leo and Jamal finish their shirts and head to the pit stop, Margie and Luke are en route to the detour and will have to finish either a fishing or disk spinning task.
Brendon and Rachel, Jessica and John, and Flight Time and Big Easy are still struggling to finish their shirts.
Jett and Cord arrive at the pit stop and finish this leg of the race in third place. Leo and Jamal arrive in fourth place. Margie and Luke have finished their detour and are headed to the garment factory.
Jessica and John arrive at the pit stop in 5th place. Flight Time and Big Easy arrive in 6th place. Brendon and Rachel arrive in 7th place.
Margie and Luke are the last team to arrive at the pit stop, they have been eliminated from the Amazing Race.
