I think after this season of The Bachelorette wraps up ABC might be wise to reconsider whether or not this show really should get another season, especially since it was supposed to restore faith after that messy go round of The Bachelor ended catastrophically. Poor Andi Dorfman signed on to try and find love — and if ABC’s stacking the deck against her with a string of losers wasn’t bad enough, then real reality intervened to make it even rougher.
According to the June 23rd print edition of In Touch magazine, one of the first major blows was contestant Eric Hill’s accidental death a few short weeks after Andi sent him packing. His paragliding accident cast a somber feeling over this season that is going to be hard to shake. Also making things tough is a video that leaked out of Nick Viall on the phone discussing a final rose ceremony that totally blew the ending for those fans who are still invested in this show.
As for the actual bonding, the guys seem to be doing a better job of it amongst themselves then they are with Andi. They may have been pulled together to vie for love, but in reality they are together all day/every day and the male bonding has taken center stage. Andi also feels like the guys are there for exposure and to hang out together more than they are to try and win her heart.
When you put all of these things together it’s just not looking good for ABC’s franchise, once a network highlight. Do you think that Andi has any chance of finding love in this mess?
