NBC’s hit drama The Blacklist Season 2 came back with a bang this fall, and according to The Blacklist season 2 spoilers, there is a ton more craziness in store for fans this season. Reddington’s friends and eccentric counterparts never cease to amaze us, but the latest addition to The Blacklist cast and Reddington’s list of frenemies is sure to turn a few heads. According to The Blacklist spoilers, comedic actor Paul Reubens, who you most likely know as Pee-wee Herman, has been cast to play the part of a new character named Mr. Vargas.
The Blacklist spoilers in the latest October 6th edition of GLOBE Magazine reveal that Pee-wee Herman will make his debut on the NBC drama on October 6th, and his storyline is set to last for three episodes. GLOBE goes on to explain, “The 62-year-old star has been cast as the dapper and finicky Mr. Vargas, who is notorious in the underground world as a fixer who handles dangerous situations involving his criminal clients. Pee-wee first appears on October 6th and will guest star for three episodes opposite James Spader, who plays FBI informant Red Reddington.”
Kudos to NBC for being brave enough to cast Pee-wee Herman, who has never been able to shake the 1991 scandal in which he plead no contest to charges of indecent exposure at an adult theater. According to The Blacklist spoilers, the producers opted to forego the bowtie and bicycle that made Pee-wee Herman a household name during his stint on the TV program Pee-wee’s Playhouse.
