The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers revealed weeks ago that Katherine Kelly-Lang would be taking some time off to work on a TV show in Italy and Brooke Logan would be off the canvas of the CBS soap opera for a few months. Anyone who watches Bold and the Beautiful can tell you that is has by far the smallest cast of all the daytime dramas, and Brooke Logan took up a good portion of the soap’s scenes. Apparently, now that Brooke is off the show, a power struggle is developing between the remaining women on the soap opera.
The October 13th edition of GLOBE magazine reveals that Kim Matula [Hope Logan], the actress that plays Lang’s TV daughter Hope and newcomer Ashleigh Brewer [Ivy Forrester] both think that they deserve more screen time now that Brook is off the canvas. According to GLOBE’s B&B source, “Kim sees herself as the rightful heir to Kelly’s throne since she has been on the soap for four years and plays Brooke’s daughter Hope. Ashleigh is very ambitious and it gets under Hope’s skin.” The source goes to explain that Kim is very cold to Ashleigh on set, and she doesn’t even make small talk with her after they film their scenes.
Kim Matula has been rumored to be quit the diva behind the scenes of Bold and the Beautiful, so we aren’t exactly shocked to hear that she isn’t getting along with Ashleigh Brewer. It will be interesting to see how the producers divvy up the screen time once Brooke is no longer in the picture. It seems like Hope gets quite a bit of screen time now, it wouldn’t hurt for Ashleigh Brewer to get some more action. After all she signed a three year contract to appear on the soap opera, she probably anticipated appearing more than once or twice a week.
What do you think B&B fans? Is Kim Matula Kelly’s rightful heir, or is she a little too full of herself? Who would you like to see more of once Brooke is gone, Hope or Ivy?
