The Walking Dead Season 5 Spoilers: Robert Kirkman Says Daryl Gay or Straight – TWD Hero’s Sexuality Exposed!

The Walking Dead’s season 5 spoilers have brought forth a lot of questions and answers, but CDL is here with some of the best Walking Dead spoilers around. Are you ready Walking Dead fans? Here we go!

There has been a lot of speculation surrounding The Walking Dead’s main character Daryl Dixon and whose team he plays on with regard to his sexuality. Robert Kirkman has officially spilled the beans with these new Walking Dead spoilers. If you have been of the curious mind as to whether or not our favorite crossbow wielding zombie hunter Daryl Dixon [Norman Reedus] is gay, then we’ve got the scoop: Daryl Dixon is not gay. There, we said it. SPOILER ALERT!

Walking Dead fans can now rest easily (or not) in knowing that their zombie slaying hero is as straight as an arrow. Seriously, though, if fans wanted to stop watching the show because Daryl is gay, then perhaps they weren’t true fans at all.

Series creator Robert Kirkman shed some light on the long-standing rumors about Daryl Dixon’s sexuality. He said, “In the letter column of the comic book that I do, I mentioned that there was a possibility early on about making Daryl Dixon’s character gay. I just wanted to clarify that the possibility is there and that I would have been fine with it, the network would have been fine with it – but we ultimately didn’t do that. I can make it official: Daryl Dixon is straight.”

Kirkman teased fans of The Walking Dead earlier in the year by saying, “We’re not holding back information on Daryl’s sexuality as any sort of big reveal. The fact that there’s still a question as to what Daryl’s orientation is in season five absolutely speaks to Daryl’s character; he is a very guarded, very closed-off individual in a lot of ways.”

What do you think of the Walking Dead season 5 big reveal? Are you shocked that he’s straight? Now that we know, do you think he should get together with Carol already?
