The Walking Dead spoilers for season 5 Episode 6 ‘Consumed‘ tell us that it will be the Daryl [Norman Reedus] and Carol [Melissa McBride] focused episode that the showrunners were teasing a while back, and that means that ‘Caryl’ finally has a chance of coming true. Daryl and Beth [Emily Kinney] shippers got their episode last season, and even though there was romantic tension up the wazoo, it ended up with Beth being kidnapped. We already know The Walking Dead episode 6 ‘Consumed’ will end in Carol’s capture [since we saw her being wheeled in to the hospital a few episodes ago], but before that happens, will we see any romantic Carol and Daryl connection?
This is the first time that these characters have been alone for any significant amount of time, especially recently. But with the shadow of Beth hanging above them, and Daryl’s focus on getting Beth back, will that allow for Daryl and Carol to share anything meaningfully romantic?
I mean, we already know that Beth is probably biting the bullet once the mid-season finale comes around, and that will free up Daryl and Carol to fall in love. But there’s always been a very strong connection between these two characters, going all the way back to Season 2. Will that result in anything during ‘Consumed’, or will it just be two friends being friends?
What do you guys think? Will there be a Daryl/Carol romance on the road? Or will it be all business, no pleasure? Will Beth’s kidnapping be too present in Daryl’s mind for anything else to happen? Let us know your thoughts and wishes in the comments below. Come back to CDL tomorrow for more The Walking Dead season 5 spoilers.
