The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Kyle Abbott could be returning to the CBS soap opera to stir up some drama between Summer Newman and her hubby Austin. There has been a lot of talk about Kyle Abbott over the course of the last few weeks. Summer just learned that she is not Jack Abbott’s daughter – which means she is not related Kyle Abbott, which seemed to be the only thing that stopped them from hooking up in the past.
The Young and the Restless coming and goings spoilers recently revealed that Y&R put out a casting call for a “Caucasian male in his mid-20’s to play the part of Matt Wilkins – handsome, sophisticated scion of a wealthy, Kennedy-esque clan.” Sure, the casting call says the character is named “Matt Wilkins” – but aside from that the character description fits Kyle Abbott perfectly. This wouldn’t be the first time that TPTB at The Young and the Restless put out a casting call with a fake name to avoid leaking any spoilers.
For those of you who don’t remember, the last time we seen Kyle Abbott was in January 2013 when he left Genoa City to work at Jabot office in New York. Before Kyle left he had a relationship with Summer Newman, who unbeknownst to him was his half sister. Summer’s mother Phyllis was desperate to stop her daughter from hooking up with her half-brother so she kissed Kyle right in front of Summer to break them up.
