Last week, the truth continued to come out and when Tori chatted with her friend, Andy, about the revelation of Dean McDermott’s affair, this was what she had to say; “Because this affair is so public, I guess I just assume that everyone’s like, ‘Okay, we know what’s going on,’” she explained. “So to hear my friends day to day say, ‘You’re not dealing with stuff,’ it’s just shocking to hear that and it puts it all in perspective.” Did you watch last week’s episode? Tonight’s episode of True Tori kicks off with Tori discussing her and Dean’s tattoos. She shows us her tattoo on her ribs of the vows that Dean wrote for her for their wedding, and ironically they are the same vows he broke when he had an affair in 2013.
Tori is getting ready for her first public event since Dean’s affair, it’s a photography event hosted by her friend Jennie Garth. This will also be the first time she has left her kids to go out since the affair as well. She kissed her kids good-bye and leaves them with Dean and heads out with her friend Jess to the event.
The next day Tori and Dean head to therapy. Dean rehashes the night that he met Emily Goodhand, he says he wasn’t attracted to Emily and she was “just a warm body.” He is obsessed with Tory and he wants to have sex with her every day, and when he couldn’t he went looking for sex somewhere else. Tori calls him out and points out that she had sex with him the weekend before he hooked up with Emily, and before he told her he was attracted to Emily and now he is saying she was just in the right place at the right time. Dean begins rambling about how cheating on his wife was his worst nightmare coming true. Tori points out that his worst nightmare was getting caught…not doing it.
Tori goes on to explain that she feels like her their sex life “is never enough” for Dean, and his desires are not a reality. She feels like she should have seen this coming, because she could “never give him enough sex.” The therapist informs Dean that his sexual expectations of how a marriage is supposed to be is a fairytale. Tori breaks down in tears and begins sobbing about how “bad she feels about herself.” And she feels ugly because she has a bump on her stomach from when her intestines came out after her C-Section with her last child. Dean informs her that he “loves her little bump.”
The therapist sheds some light on the situation and proclaims they both have ridiculously low self-esteem. And, they both don’t think they deserve each other. In order for them to get past everything that has happened, they need to both write a letter about every single feeling they have about the situation and Dean needs to include an apology in his letter.
The next morning Dean is home alone with all four kids, he doesn’t know how Tori has done it for three months all alone. Tori heads out with her friends to chat about therapy and get pedicures. She tells her friends about the letter she has to write to Dean to get out all of her anger.
Dean is at home hanging out with his friend Wolf. He confesses to him that at one point he was considering taking his own life and wound up under suicide watch because he was so distraught over his affair. He proclaims that he has hit rock bottom and is on the verge of losing everything, so he is ready to start changing.
After he prepares dinner for the kids and puts them to bed he sits down and begins working on his therapy letter to Tori. His seven year old son Liam begins asking his a million questions about why he is writing the letter, but Dean has no idea how to explain it to him. He simply leaves it at he “did something unforgivable.”
The next day Tori sits down and tries to write her letter to Dean, but she is overwhelmed and she doesn’t even know where to begin. Tori realizes that everything went wrong when their first son Liam was born, because she was so focused on the kids and he was so focused on getting his wife back.
Later that night Dean and Tori get into a fight because Tori has three of their children sleeping in the bed with them and Dean has to keep sleeping in another room. Tori calls Dean into another room and reminds him that he has been gone for months and it is going to take a while to break the habit of the kids sleeping with her. Dean says that she is being too lenient with the kids, and she can’t keep giving them everything they want. Tori admits that she still “wants and needs” the kids in her bed. And, she thinks that it is ridiculous that Dean has barely been home and already is commenting on how the house is being run. Tori just wants Dean to acknowledge that she was in a tough situation while he was gone. Dean doesn’t care, he just wants his bed back.
Dean and Tori head back to Dr. Wexler’s office and Tori reads the letter she wrote to Dean. The therapist points out that she didn’t really do the assignment, instead she wrote about their love story when they first met. Dean reads the letter that he wrote to Tori apologizing for his affair with Emily Goodhand. Tori is not satisfied, and she thinks that Dean has no remorse for cheating on her. They both failed their therapy homework. Tori begins cursing Dean out and he starts grimacing and shaking and says he has a migraine so she stops talking because she doesn’t want to hurt him. Dr. Wexler begins panicking and asking Dean if he is going to hurt himself….
