People may listen to Barb, people may even cheer and sympathize for Barb, but ultimately her son was not a good man. And now Russ knows that as well.

On tonight’s all new episode of “American Crime”, Russ found his son Matt’s little collection of photographs. And for the life of him he will never understand why his son took pictures next to dead and badly beaten Middle Eastern men while he was deployed overseas. In actuality it just goes to show that his son took a certain kind of sick pleasure out of torturing people and yet Russ could have sworn that wasn’t the man he knew.

After all, Russ has been someone that had prided himself on having had a good relationship with at least one of his son. So, week after week, after learning about all of these revelations and for once seeing for himself that his son simply wasn’t right – he’s now hurting like only a parent could. And like a parent, he sought to protect Matt. And that includes in death.

Russ burned all the photos he found and then he made sure to rid the house of all traces of its ashes.

As for Alonzo, he received some disturbing news. His son needs him to get him out of the juvenile detention center. And preferably as soon as possible. Apparently the guards had accidentally killed a friend of his right in front of him so that was what finally made Tony realize this wasn’t all part of a game.

Before his friend died, Tony had no problem about being in the center. It seems he had gained a reputation for himself what with sending someone to the hospital. So Tony ended up enjoying his notoriety.

Yet when the situation actually got scary – he called on his father to help. And Alonzo can’t really do much for him.

The lawyer they were appointed is overworked and merely doesn’t have time to focus on Tony. Hence Alonzo was advised to hire his own lawyer. And, unfortunately, Alonzo can’t afford that. So he then had to look at selling the family business but the only ones that wanted to buy from him wanted to also low ball Alonzo for calling him illegal on national TV. Thus the desperate is in a no-win situation.

In fact the only one that has turned out fine despite everything is Hector and that’s because he made a deal.

According to Hector, he and his family can now do whatever they like. If they want to get a house in the mountains then they can. And Hector is also making promises. He told his girlfriend and the mother of his child that he’ll get a job. A proper one this time so they wouldn’t have to worry about their futures.

But, instead of delight, he was met with resistance. It seems not even his own family believes he can stay out of trouble long enough for them to have that family life Hector keeps promising.

Carter’s hearing had begun and Hector believes if he plays his part then the DA will give him everything he’s demanded. However Hector didn’t count on Aubry. And, true to fashion, Aubry was self-destructive.

See, Aubry’s mother had spoken to Aliyah and it appears that two women were in agreement. They both believed Aubry and Carter would be better off if they were separated. So Aubry’s mother spoke to Carter and she told him that even if he got off – he and Aubry will only bring each other back down.

And so Carter eventually agreed not to see Aubry anymore. He felt it was for her own good but Aubry had flipped out when that message was passed onto her.

She called back the DA and she then confessed to Matt’s murder. Though, she claims she wasn’t the one that had attacked his wife. Apparently Matt was the one that had roughed the other woman up. And he was going to do the same to Aubry when she shot him with Carter’s gun.

Or so Aubry says!

Though no one has forgotten that Aubry tends to say a lot of things. So confessing won’t do Barb any good. The older woman continues to be adamant about what she wants. And Barb wants justice for her son.

Hence, there’s a possibility she’ll use that gun she just bought if she feels like the true murderer got away with the crime.

THE END!
