#AGT10 is the last of the semi-final rounds. Performances tonight will be narrowed down to the last five acts for the finals. The first act of the night is rocker band 3 Shades of Blue. They do AWOLNation’s Sail (the blame it on my ADD song). It’s nice but I prefer the sound of the original. Mel B says it was a good song choice and they rocked the house. Howie says this was their best performance yet. Heidi says they sounded great and it was her favorite performance of theirs. Howard says he’s been a fan of theirs and says he loves the song so much that he loved it less than the original.

Next up is comedian Gary Vider. It was a good set and Howie is on his feet by the end. He tells him every joke worked and he loved his timing and pace – he says he hopes America votes him through. Heidi says she has criticized him a lot in the past then quotes in German and Gary says nothing for him in German is good as a Jew. Mel B says he’s funny and he deserves to go through again. Howard says never go to Heidi for comedy advice. He says #boobassippi was a great joke. Howard says he would love to have Gary in the finals.

Alondra Santos is up next. She does another great Spanish language song. She covers one I recognized this time – Ricky Martin’s The Cup of Life. The crowd seems to love the upbeat number. Howard says she really gets the gringos singing and says she has mass appeal and it’s remarkable at just 13. Heidi says she’s a great performer and seems comfortable on stage. Mel B says to be careful of song choice and to use more power in her voice. Howie says she’s talented and is bringing her culture to American and says it’s admirable to speak for her culture.

Tech dance duo Freelusion is next. They are the last dance act left in the competition and they are feeling the heat. This one is pretty cool and has a very sci fi and magic feel to it. Howie is on his feet and says wow. It looked like a big robot was on stage then disappeared. Heidi says it was impressive and says the dancing got a little lost but it was well done. Mel B says they stepped up their game and it was exquisite. Howie says they are everything – he says the robots were real and it was scary and sexy. Howard says it had a Terminator feel but says he thinks the dance looked floppy.

The next act is shy singer Alicia Michilli. She does Ain’t No Sunshine When She’s Gone (with a gender twist in the lyrics). Howie is on his feet by the end and so is most of the audience. Mel B says she loves her voice and says she has great tone and doesn’t even need all the special set stuff and can just do her. Howie says she’s a consummate professional and hit all her marks. Howard says he loves her voice and likes her retro feel but says he doesn’t think she’ll go through to the next round. He says it was very safe and middle of the road. Heidi says her talent is extraordinary and she hopes America votes for her.

Magician Piff the Magic Dragon is next. He comes out and says shut down the production ad it’s just him and his case. He approaches the judges and says it’s like Heidi likes it. He does a really cool toast trick. All four judges are on their feet by the time he’s done. He lets Heidi hold his dog Mr Piffles too. The crowd loves it. Howie says he’s a dragon and he slays. He says he’s brilliant. Howard says now we’re cooking and says he wants Piff in the finals. Heidi says he’s a crowd favorite, looks super sexy in his dragon outfit and his magic is strong.

Next up is singer Daniella Mass. The set is a gorgeous winter wonderland. She does a Spanish operatic version of Roy Orbison’s Crying. The crows is wowed. Howard says the snow is collecting in his afro. He says her voice is beautiful and says Crying was a great song choice. He says if she doesn’t get through this round, it’s because opera doesn’t have mass appeal. Heidi says her skills are undeniable and says she loves this genre of music. Mel B says the production was amazing and looked beautiful then says she nailed it. Howie says he loves the song and she made it theatrical and says she’s flawless.

Performing next is ladder balancer Uzeyer Novruzov. He has a large hoop tonight and rolls around in it amazingly then moves to the ladder which is huge. He stands atop it and then starts balancing rings but then he slips. Scary stuff but he’s okay. Howard says he’s a master of a dangerous act. He says he had a rough night and it’s a shame. Mel B says there is so much pressure with live TV and says thank God he’s not hurt. Heidi says they love him. Howie says thank God he’s okay but they can’t give him any more time. The crowd boos Howie. Everyone is on their feet.

The Professional Regurgitator is up next. He has a cup full of smoke. He swallows smoke and detergent then spits out smoky bubbles. The judges are all on their feet and so is the crowd. Heidi says he’s her absolute favorite and is incredible. Mel B says he keeps giving more of what he does and it’s so incredible. She says she’s disgusted but still loves him. Howie says he’s wonderfully disgusted and says the soap was probably the healthiest thing he’s eaten. Howard says this is the most original act they’ve seen and says he definitely deserves to go through.

Next is singer Sharon Irving. She does John Lennon’s Imagine with a gospel flair. It’s beautiful. All the judges are on their feet along with the crowd by the time she’s done. Mel B says there’s nothing she can do that’s wrong and says every note is perfect and she could sing anything. Heidi says it was perfection. Howard says she’s the best singer in the competition hands down and says he’s sure she will go through to the finals. He says Lennon is a favorite of his and she did him proud. Howie says she’s sure to go to the finals and quotes the song. He says America will vote her through.

The last act of the night is ventriloquist Paul Zerdin. He calls Howie up on stage. He says he will be a human ventriloquist dummy. They put a weird mouth mask on him. It’s so funny and weird. Mel B is laughing so hard she’s crying. Heidi says this was so much fun and her head hurts from laughing so hard. She calls him clever and hilarious. Mel B says she hasn’t laughed that much and hard in so long and calls him brilliant. She says Howie looked like an idiot. Howie says he humiliated him but it was fantastic. Howard says he should go through and says he’s hands down fantastic and could win it all.
To vote for Paul Zerdin call 866-60-AGT11.
Voting is open now and only five acts can go through.
