Billy Bob Thornton was transported to Cedars Sinai on Friday after suffering a head injury in a minor car accident. According to law enforcement, Thornton was riding as a passenger in a car that hit another vehicle in a West Hollywood intersection around 6:45 a.m.
TMZ broke the story, reporting that Billy Bob’s injuries are non-life threatening. The “Sling Blade” actor seemed to be okay. Those on the scene just wanted Billy Bob Thornton to get checked out my medical personnel to rule out any issues they might not have detected on the scene.
Thornton was evaluated at Cedars Sinai and then released the same day. Details about the car accident and who may have been at fault are still unclear. We do know that Billy Bob Thornton was well enough to return to the film project that he is working on in Los Angeles on the same day.
