RECAP:
Tonight’s episode of ‘Blood & Oil’ kicks off with Gary in the hospital waking up out of his coma – he pulls his breathing tube out and begins going in to convulsions, while the nurses are working on him he keeps yelling out Billy LeFever’s name.
Annie Briggs stops by Hap’s house – she knows that he has the geology reports, she offers to make his problem with the feds go away if he gives her a copy of the surveys. Hap lies and says that he doesn’t have them, Carla backs him up. Afterwards, Hap visits Sheriff Hamilton. Hamilton tells Hap that he overheard the Feds talking, and the mole is someone in the Briggs’ upper ranks – but he doesn’t have a name. Hap vows to find the mole himself.
Sheriff Hamilton shows up at Billy’s house, he tells him that Gary woke up for a few minutes and said “Billy LeFever” before he went in to cardiac arrest. Now, it is “touch and go” they don’t know if he will wake up again. Billy insists that he has no idea why Gary would say his name, and that he wasn’t in the woods with him. Hamilton leaves, but Cody overheard their conversation – she demands to know what Billy did. He keeps lying and insists he had nothing to do with Gary winding up in the hospital.
Hap is determined to find the mole in his company – he calls an emergency meeting and brings in his security team to search everyone for wires and recording devices. Wick is the mole – he panics at the last minute and takes the transmitter out of his coat and throws it in a plant before he is searched. Afterwards, Wick curses his dad out for not trusting him and storms out of the house. He heads to the bar and runs in to his mom Annie Briggs – she gives him a pep talk and tells him that she is setting up shop in town, she wants Wick to come work for her. Wick declines and tells her to stop worrying about Hap, Wick reassures his mom that Hap “is going to get his.”
Jay finds the transmitter in the planter after the meeting, he doesn’t tell Hap that Wick is the mole though. He takes the transmitter to Lacey and warns her that her brother is in over his head. He wants Lacey to talk to Wick before he makes a huge mistake.
Billy meets up with Wick and tells him about Gary – he wants to handle it ASAP. Wick tries to calm Billy down and tells him not to do anything crazy like walk in to the hospital full of people and try to kill Gary. Wick tells Billy to trust him, everything is going to work out fine. Billy isn’t buying it, and trust is one thig that he can’t afford right now, he storms out of the bar. Billy heads to the hospital and sneaks in to Gary’s room. He is contemplating flipping the switch on the life support machine and Sheriff Hamilton arrives.
Annie stops by Billy and Cody’s house – it is the first time that Cody has met her. Annie says that she thinks the land that they bought, might be a bigger play than they realized. She has a plan, she is going to crash Haps anniversary party. Annie tells them to get dressed, she will send a car for Billy and Cody – she wants them at the party too.
Meanwhile, Wick recruits the help of Jules to spy on his dad – since they have a mutual hatred for him. He convinces Jules to seduce Hap, and switch his phone with an exact replica that is tapped by the FBI. Jules is able to make the switch without Hap noticing, and he heads home with his bugged phone – the feds are listening in on everything now.
Before Wick heads to the party, he stops by Jules’ house – she wants to get back together with him and tells him that she loves him. Wicks laughs at her ad says that she also loved her dad – and she just sold him out to the feds, he needs her love like a hole in the head. Jules is devastated, she’s lost Hap and Wick now. She starts drinking her sorrows away and pounding shots.
It’s time for Hap’s anniversary party – Annie crashes that party with Billy on his arm, she exchanges jabs with Hap and Carla and then offers to give Billy a tour of the house. In the other room, Lacey takes Wick aside, she warns Wick that if he is the mole – he will lose Hap and her for good. Wick reassures his sister that he loves his family and they are all in this for good. Lucy goes back to Jay and tells him that he was wrong – there is no way that Wick was the mole.
Cody rushes to the hospital when one of the nurses calls her and tells her that Gary woke up – she confronts him in his hospital room, and tells him that she was pregnant and made her lose the baby. Then, Cody demands to know why Gary said Billy’s name out loud. Gary recollects that Wick and Billy showed up – he was afraid they were going to kill him – he made a run for it and they chased him off the cliff. Then he fell on the log that impaled him, Billy and Wick just walked away and left him for dead. Cody is obviously not happy that Billy has been lying to her all along.
Cody heads to the party and tells Billy that she just saw Gary and she knows the truth. Billy still denies that he was there the night that Gary fell, he tells Cody that he is a drunk and making up stories. They head back to the hospital so that Bill can confront Gary for “lying” – but when arrive they learn that Gary passed away a few mintues ago. It looks like Billy might be in the clear.
Annie takes Wick aside – she has figured out that he is the mole, she demands to know what he was thinking. Wick explains that Hap is getting what he deserves, and his father is going down one way or another.
Hap leaves his phone in the bedroom, Myron and Carla head in the bedroom to discuss the stolen geological reports where they think no one will overhear them – meanwhile the feds are listening to every word. Carla openly admits to buying the surveys from Myron, and then tells him to frame Lacey and blame it on her. The feds have everything that they need – they march in to the anniversary party and arrest Carla and lead her out in handcuffs.
Billy and Cody get in to a huge fight, she packs a bag and goes to Jules house for a few days – when she arrives she finds Jules lying on the floor unconscious.
