Bobbi Kristina Brown is still at DeKalb Medical Facility – and the odds of her leaving any time soon are slim to none. Although her father Bobby Brown remains optimistic about his daughter’s condition, Cissy Houston recently revealed that Bobbi Kristina has irreversible brain damage and is still unresponsive. While Bobbi Kristina is lying in her hospital bed and completely unaware of what is going on around her, her father Bobby Brown is fighting the Houston Family tooth and nail over his daughter’s estate.
Although Bobby Brown is technically in charge of all of Bobbi Kristina’s medical decisions, Cissy Houston and Gary Houston’s wife Pat Houston are legally co-executors of Whitney’s $20 Million estate, which is now Bobbi’s – and in the event that Bobbi Kristina does die – they are set to receive a huge payday. On April 28 Bobby Brown went to court and legally filed for guardianship over his daughter’s estate, and the $20 Million inheritance that is in question.
Cissy Houston is prepared to fight Bobby Brown to the grave over the inheritance, and doesn’t believe that he should get his hands on Whitney’s money. At this point, Bobby Brown does have a decent chance of winning the estate in court because he is legally responsible for Bobbi Kristina’s medical decisions – and he will claim that he needs the money to pay for all of her rehab and life-support equipment. And, if Bobbi Kristina is released from DeKalb at some point, he will have to hire nurses to work around the clock to care for his daughter at home. If Cissy Houston and her family get their hands on the estate – they aren’t required by law to pay a dime of Bobbi Kristina’s medical expenses and could walk away and leave Bobby Brown to pay the rumored millions of dollars worth of hospital bills.
So far there have been no updates on Bobby Brown’s fight for guardianship of Bobbi Kristina’s estate – although insiders have told the media that Cissy Houston is already getting her legal team assembled and is prepared to “fight Bobby to the grave” over the money.
