As Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, remains in critical condition at Emory University Hospital, more details are emerging about how she ended up face-down in a tubful of water at her Georgia home. According to TMZ, police have opened a criminal investigation and Bobbi Kristina’s unofficial husband, Nick Gordon, is the focus. Bobbi Kristina had several questionable injuries when she arrived at a nearby medical facility, including bruises on her chest as well as a bloodied mouth. Some reports even indicate that she has marks on her face and defensive wounds on her hands.
No charges have been filed in the case just yet, but it seems likely that Nick Gordon had something to do with Bobbi Kristina’s current state. When Nick’s friend, Max Lomas, stopped by for a visit on Saturday, January 31, he claims Nick was acting rather strangely. Max found Bobbi Kristina unresponsive in her bathroom sometime later and called Nick to administer CPR. Max also claims that Nick cleaned up the scene and removed several blood stains.
Both Nick Gordon and Max Lomas have lawyered up and Max refuses to say anything more until he’s offered immunity. Since Max was recently arrested for possession of drugs and a firearm, he’s likely hoping to point the finger away from himself. Police issued a search warrant at the home in Roswell and some sources are reporting that drugs were indeed found.
Bottom line: Bobbi Kristina has injuries that need to be explained and Nick Gordon is the one who needs to do the explaining. Nick and Bobbi Kristina have apparently had their share of marital problems recently and it looks like this incident could have been a fight that went way too far. It’s possible that Bobbi Kristina could have been placed in the bathtub as a cover-up or perhaps she really did try to take her own life after being beaten. Whatever happened, both the Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown families are praying for a miracle for Bobbi Kristina. WSB-TV in Atlanta reports that everyone gathered for a candlelight vigil in the Riverdale area while Bobbi clings to life.
