Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death is tied intrinsically and undeniably to her drug abuse. And you have to look to her parents, Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, as the root of her drug problems since they kept drugs around the house and used in front of her. Even after their divorce, it’s likely that Bobbi Kristina Brown witnessed her mother, Whitney Houston, continuing to abuse drugs since they both admitted they were best friends and spent most of their time together.
So when Whitney Houston died in that LA hotel bathtub, shouldn’t that have been a wake up call to Bobbi Kristina Brown that she was on a doomed path? Maybe. But, unfortunately, Bobbi Kristina has had Nick Gordon at her side since she was eight years old and his presence fueled the destructive fire that ended Bobbi Kristina Brown’s life at just 22. And now, it looks like the druggy pals the two routinely surrounded themselves with are turning on Nick Gordon to protect themselves.
It has long been suspected that there were other people present in Bobbi Kristina Brown and Nick Gordon’s home the day she was found face down in the bathtub but, so far, only Bobbi Kristina’s ex-boyfriend Max Lomas has admitted to being there. In fact, it was Max who pulled her out of the water, started CPR and called 911 while Nick Gordon, allegedly, did little to save the woman he claimed to love. And Max Lomas’ girlfriend Danyela Bradley was also a close friend of Bobbi Kristina’s and has been questioned by police as part of an investigation intent on filing criminal charges against Gordon.
Max Lomas was interviewed in February shortly after Bobbi Kristina Brown was found and hired lawyers to protect his interests. Max Lomas’ relationship with Danyela Bradley shares some eery similarities to that of Nick Gordon and Bobbi Kristina Brown. Danyela’s family called police on Lomas and accused him of drugging her to keep her from leaving him. Max Lomas was arrested when the police came calling for possession of drugs and an illegal firearms. Sounds a lot like what Nick Gordon has been accused of in the civil suit filed against him on behalf of Bobbi Kristina Brown.
But now that Bobbi Kristina Brown has died, investigators are stepping up their efforts and it looks like Danyela Bradley and Max Lomas will turn state’s evidence and come clean on the disturbing details of Nick Gordon’s relationship with Bobbi Kristina to protect themselves from any drug charges related to her death. Max Lomas still has two felony charges pending against him related to his treatment of Danyela Bradley which prosecutors could make go away in exchange for his unfiltered testimony at trial against Nick Gordon.
Prosecutors may also look to other friends of the couple for more information regarding their drug addled lifestyle and possible domestic abuse. However, two friends who could have shed light on Nick Gordon and Bobbi Kristina Brown’s troubled relationship will be no help to investigators. Chelsea Bennett, one of Bobbi Kristina’s BFFs, died of a heroin overdose a few months before Bobbi Kristina’s bathtub incident and her reputed drug dealer of choice, Steven Stepho, died of an overdose a month before Bobbi Kristina Brown lost her battle and died.
Expect to see Bobbi Kristina Brown’s horde of druggie pals tell police what they want to hear to keep themselves out of trouble. Law enforcement is focusing strictly on Nick Gordon, but will keep applying pressure to those known to be in Nick Gordon and Bobbi Kristina Brown’s circle of friends to get to the truth about what happened in their home on January 31st that ultimately led to the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown.
