Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death is still a mystery, but Nick Gordon has admitted to watching Bobbi Kristina with surveillance cameras and confirmed they had fight the night before her death. In a response Nick filed with the court, Nick confirmed the argument, but denied drowning Bobbi.
Bedelia Hargrove filed a multimillion lawsuit claiming Nick Gordon beat Bobbi Kristina Brown and knocked out two of her teeth before her drowning incident. The suit further alleges Nick gave Bobbi a “toxic cocktail” and placed her face down in a tub full of cold water. Basically, the suit places full blame of Bobbi Kristian Brown’s death on Nick Gordon. The court appointed attorney later amended the suit to include mutual friends Max Lomas and Danyela Bradley citing their involvement in Bobbi’s drowning.
Nick Gordon has finally responded to the suit after staging a visit to Bobbi’s gravesite. Gordon played it up for the looming cameras, at one point laying his body across her grave. According to reports by Page Six, Nick received $40,000 for the images after tipping off paparazzi.
Now that Nick Gordon has some money to pay his legal team – which includes Jose Baez, who won an acquittal for Casey Anthony – Gordon has filled a response to the allegations. Nick and his team have requested the judge toss out the wrongful death lawsuit and dismissed the claims as “scandalous.” Gordon has denied punching Bobbi so hard her knocked out her teeth, but did admit to getting into a fight with Bobbi the night before her drowning.
“Defendant admits that the parties went out on the night in question, that he reviewed video footage and then had an argument with Ms. Brown and that he then changed clothes. Defendant denies the remaining allegations,” the counter stated. “Defendant admits that he tried to ‘wake up’ Ms. Brown and attempted to get her to react and that he performed CPR on her,” his filing further stated.
This will give fuel to the rumor that Bobbi was seeing another man, and Nick came from a coke an alcohol bender to discover Bobbi Kristina had the unnamed man over while Gordon was gone. It had been rumored that Nick watched some security footage, saw Bobbi having another man over and went into a jealous rage.
Interestingly, the filing also underlines the fact that Nick was not legally married to Bobbi, and it was Bobbi Kristina who considered them to be husband and wife. The suit specifically states, “Gordon and Bobbi Kristina were never married, as such, there are no proceeding for divorce, separate maintenance, annulment, or other domestic relations actions that may ordinarily occur in this state.” This could make for an intriguing angle, as Hargrove claims Nick took $11,000 from Bobbi’s personal bank account AFTER she was in a coma.
