Bobbi Kristina Brown’s condition still remains unclear. According to multiple doctors who have given their opinion regarding Bobbi’s probability to live a normal life, her chances are “slim” at best. Bobby Brown also has more problems headed his way, as Nick Gordon will likely join the battle for the $20 million estate.
Bobby shocked fans and the internet, by announcing Bobbi Kristina Brown was “awake” and “watching” her father perform. People began trying decipher the message and multiple claims, statements, and contradicting explanations followed….
Bobby Brown’s attorney, Christopher Brown, clarified: “”Doctors have indicated that she will have a long life. However, Bobbi Kristina is presently embarking on a rehabilitation process and the quality of her life will not be known for years to come.”
Cissy Houston fired back that, “While she [Bobbi Kristina Brown] is no longer in a medically induced coma she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive. Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me. We can only trust in God for a miracle at this time.”
Tina Brown shared via social media, “So many messages, sorry can’t answer them all right now but I will get to them later..just allow me this time with my family,,yes, she woke up and is no longer on life support!!!!!:):)God is good!!thanks for your prayers,,still a process, but she is going to be ok:):):):).”
A source close to the Houston family told TMZ, “She’s in the exact same condition she was in when she went into the facility.” They say there is “minimal” reaction … an occasional eye blink, but that’s it.”
The reality of Bobbi Kristina’s condition is still a bit of a mystery. Doctors tapped by various outlets all seem to agree that the likelihood Bobbi will have any sort of a “normal” is very slim. An assistant professor of neurology at Georgia Regents University, Dr. Subhashini Ramesh, told People, “If she has irreversible brain damage, it’s unlikely she will ever live an independent life and have some ability to care for herself.”
As we shared, Cissy claims Bobbi has “global and irreversible brain damage.” To clarify, global damage impacts motor function, eye movement, and vocal response. That means it’s unlikely Bobbi Kristina would ever be able to lead an independent life.
Why such different views of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s condition? Bobby Brown makes all medical decisions, but Pat and Cissy Houston tend to rule the family and are the executors of Whitney Houston’s $20 million estate. After Whitney died, Bobbi was left the entire estate. Perhaps slightly bitter they didn’t inherit the money, Pat and Cissy have been fighting to “end the nightmare” and “let Bobbi go.” In the event Bobbi Kristina dies, Pat and Cissy Houston, along with Whitney’s brother, will inherit what remains of the $20 million.
As we reported, Bobby Brown filed papers to fight for guardianship of the $20 million estate. Cissy was “seething” and vowed to fight Bobby “to the grave” for control of the estate. Nick Gordon has also surfaced after going into rehab. The troubled former lover of Bobbi Kristina agreed to enter rehab after Dr. Phil cashed on the tragedy and sat down with Gordon and his mother.
Since Nick has exited rehab, he sent out a Tweet stating, “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change. The courage to change the things I can. And the wisdom to know the difference.”
Nick Gordon has a past of threatening the Houston and Brown family. In fact, Pat Houston filed for a restraining order in March of 2014. Nick repeatedly demanded Pat increase Bobbi Kristina’s allowance, when she refused, he posted images of guns to threaten Houston and sent harassing text messages.
It’s pretty safe to assume Nick will be joining the battle for Whitney Houston’s $20 million estate. Things will be heating up in a Georgia court soon as Bobby Brown fights for his daughter while Pat and Cissy Houston fight for the money and control.
