Bobbi Kristina Brown has been hospitalized for three months now, but her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, has still been unable to see her. Gordon has made several attempts to work with both the Brown and Houston families, but has not succeeded with making any progress on either side.
Now though, Gordon is looking to change that, and he is confident that he will be successful. Gordon’s lawyers recently released a statement to Us Weekly on Monday, May 18. Randall M. Kessler and Joe S. Habachy are pleading his case to the Brown and Houston families again and urging them to let Gordon see his girlfriend.
The statement reads, “Despite, his strong desire to see Bobbi Kristina, Nick has resected the families’ wishes for over three months and has refrained from visiting or from pursuing access to her through the courts. He had asked through counsel many times privately and now asks both the Browns and Houstons, please let him see her.”
Bobby Brown’s legal counsel, Christopher Brown, has responded to the statement by saying, “Mr. Gordon was offered an opportunity to potentially visit Bobbi Kristina but declined to meet the terms of any possible visit. Obviously Mr. Gordon is not as desperate to visit Bobbi Kristina as he wants the world to believe.” Ouch! Shots fired.
Gordon’s attorneys then responded to Brown’s statement by saying it was them who “advised” Gordon not to meet the family’s conditions. They go on to say, “but in an effort to do all he can to visit, Nick has repeatedly offered to meet with Mr. Brown privately to discuss his request in person, rather than through lawyers. Those offers have also been rejected.”
When both sides are so hard headed, it is impossible to come to a compromise. If Gordon really wants to see Bobbi Kristina Brown, he would be wise to accept the family terms despite Bobby Brown claiming that Bobbi Kristina was “awake” at one of his concerts last month. There has not been much progress made on Bobbi Kristina, though the family is optimistic that she will make a recovery.
