Was Whitney Houston responsible for Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death, that’s what Nick Gordon says. We all know that Whitney Houston was a hard partier and that led to her demise, but now Nick Gordon plans to defend himself from criminal charges by blaming Whitney for Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death. If Nick Gordon has his way, authorities will look more closely at how eerily similar the deaths of Whitney Houston and Bobbi Kristina Brown were in circumstance.
Gordon is alleging that they both had a habit of getting fueled up on drugs and/or alcohol and then getting into the bathtub. According to reports, Bobbi Kristina had a close call the night before her mother Whitney Houston died in the exact circumstances. According to Nick Gordon, Bobbi Kristina Brown got drunk with her mother at a bar then drew a bath, fell asleep and flooded her hotel room.
Then the next night, Whitney Houston died the same way and Bobbi Kristina Brown was hospitalized the same night because she had been boozing excessively. It seems obvious that Nick Gordon will assert a defense that it was only a matter of time before Bobbi Kristina died in similar circumstances to her mother because she was modeling her mother’s bad choices.
We do know that Bobbi Kristina Brown grew up in an environment with two drug abusing parents that engaged in substance abuse in her presence from an early age. This is well documented from their reality show conversations and from accounts from Houston and Brown family members. And that argument might work for Nick Gordon except for one thing – he may have been encouraging her behavior.
The civil lawsuit against Nick Gordon alleges that he controlled her money, would move trust installments from her bank account into one he controlled solely, answered her phone and heavily controlled where she went and who she saw. Not only that, but Bobbi Kristina’s Twitter account is loaded with photos of pricey goods she was begging her “husband” Nick to buy for her.
Other photos showed expensive shoes and handbags that Nick had “bought” for her and her thanking him for being such a great husband. Except that Nick Gordon had no job and no visible means of support. It was Bobbi Kristina’s money that he was doling out and it seems like he was making her beg for things she wanted as he controlled the money.
And if Nick Gordon controlled the money for shoes and handbags, he controlled the money for drugs too. Bobbi Kristina Brown reportedly had cocaine, Xanax and heroin in her system at the time she was found face down in a bathtub. The official toxicology report will be released in a few weeks. But with Nick controlling her funds, it would have been Nick who purchased those drugs for her.
Knowing that she had a propensity to drink, take drugs, and then take baths, buying her drugs and leaving her unobserved was like handing Bobbi Kristina Brown a loaded gun. Even if Nick did not hold her down in the bathtub and try to drown her, he may as well have. Recent reports from Gordon’s associates say that he is “distraught” over her death.
And he should be distraught – because whether he’s arrested for murder, attempted murder, manslaughter, or just procuring drugs that led to her death, Nick Gordon will very likely be held accountable for the events of January 31st and the eventual death of Bobbi Kristina Brown.
