‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: Kim Matula Not Being Replaced – B&B NOT Recasting Hope Logan?

When “The Bold and the Beautiful” spoilers confirmed at the end of 2014 that Kim Matula was quitting the CBS soap, and her character Hope Logan was exiting – B&B fans were shocked. Hope Logan has been a central character on the soap for many years, and was currently in the middle of an epic love triangle between half-brothers Wyatt Fuller and Liam Spencer. After it was confirmed that Kim Matula was indeed on her way out, the obvious question on everyone’s mind was – would they recast the character or just write her off the soap all together?

Show runner Bradley Bell revealed in an interview after Hope Logan’s exit that the character would not be gone forever, and implied that they would be recasting the role after Kim Matula exited – which spurred a slew of rumors that Julie Marie Berman, Chrishell Stause, and even “General Hospital” actress Kristen Alderson were being considered for the role. However, now a new report is out in the latest edition of CBS Soaps In Depth claiming that TPTB at “Bold and the Beautiful” are NOT recasting the role of Hope Logan.

In the February 9th edition of Soaps In Depth, the magazine claims “Just hours after the news broke that the Emmy Winner (Kristen Alderson) had decided not to renew her contract with the current soap the rumor mill had her dying her hair blonde again and moving to B&B to take over the role of Hope, last played by fair-haired Kim Matula. A B&B rep tells Soaps in Depth that “This rumor is untrue. We are not recasting Hope, and we have not hired Kristen Alderson.”

Soaps In Depth is a little behind – seeing as how Kristen Alderson already cleared up the rumors on social media nearly two weeks ago and confirmed she was not going to another soap. We’re just perplexed as to why a B&B rep would tell the magazine that they are not recasting Hope, after Bradley Bell already stated in an interview that the character of Hope Logan would be back. If Kim Matula has quit the soap – then the only way the character “would be back” is if B&B producers recast the role?

What do you think, B&B fans? Is the CBS soap going to recast the role, and just trying to keep the casting process hush-hush until they find the right fit? Who would you like to see replace Kim Matula? Let us know what you think in the comments below and don’t forget to check CDL tomorrow for more “Bold and the Beautiful” spoilers and news.
