Tonight is the Dancing Dolls’ final performance on the season they dubbed their butt-kicking tour. And so before they go, they want to leave a lasting impression. With the judges and with the other competing teams like the Divas of Olive Branch, YCDT Superstarz, and the Purple Diamonds.

See, it’s been a long season for the girls and the Dancing Dolls have both beaten each team and have been beaten by each team. So in order to prove dominance once and for all they need to win the great Battle Royale.

Last year the Dancing Dolls lost to the Divas of Olive Branch but this time Miss. Dianna said everything was going to be different. They’ve been practicing nonstop and like usual Dianna has come up with an unexpected aspect to add to their routine. Though in this case being unique came with a very high price tag.

Dianna wanted the moms to participate in the upcoming Stand Battle. And for this, she chose Mimi and Tina. Both have very great personality and she thought/hoped they would also be a crowd pleaser.

However, during practice, the women suffered the occasionally setback. For it seems they weren’t as quick as their daughters in learning new routines. So a lot of time ended up being wasted on trying to teach them what they daughters managed to pick up in a matter of minutes.

And besides that issue, some of the girls were also apprehensive about this scholarship opportunity Miss. Dianna had told them about.

Apparently, there’s a college in Pennsylvania offering a Dance scholarship. As in room, board, and full four years were all going to be covered. Thus it was important, especially for the seniors, to gear up for the competition and for the scholarship opportunity.

In other words, the girls’ attention was divided. But, all the same, they had to compete. So they went to the Battle Royale in probably not their best condition.

In Round One, the Dancing Dolls had to go up against fellow Mississippians the Purple Diamonds. And in this round, each coach (including the one that just had a baby) decided to dance with their team. Yet, while both teams did their very best, some of the celebrity judges felt they each should have worked a little bit more on their execution.

The Dancing Dolls won but overall they should have been tighter.

The Purple Diamonds were knocked out in Round One. So they won’t be going to finales and they won’t be going head to head with the YCDT Superstarz. Later Traci and the Superstarz were set up against reigning champions Neeva and the Divas of Olive Branch. And admittedly Dianna took a certain amount of pleasure watching those women go against each other.

It seems that both coaches have sworn in the past to be the most creative and so, for Dianna, she finally got to see who was actually telling the truth. And as it turns out, Traci wasn’t the one blowing smoke. Her team was a lot more technical and frankly the only complaint the judges had was that her girls didn’t smile.

But when it came time for Traci and Dianna’s team to have a go – smiling was no longer an issue. It was dancing!

Traci’s girls didn’t dance as much. Instead they spent most of the time setting up moves. So Dianna and the Dancing Dolls certainly did have a chance despite all the spectacles. Unfortunately, though, the inclusion of Mimi and Tina simply weren’t enough to sway the judges.

And the team eventually lost the Battle Royale.

It was a bittersweet moment. And the seniors that won’t be here next are surely taking it hard but at the end of the day Dianna believed her girls did their best and so she remains proud of them.

THE END!
