Kendall Jenner’s Statement Confirming Bruce Jenner Sex Change In ‘Us Weekly’ A Lie: Magazine Retracts Story, Apologizes!

Kendall Jenner claims she was misrepresented by a quote published in Us Weekly confirming Bruce Jenner’s sex change operation! Bruce Jenner is rumored to be going through a sex change. It’s hardly a secret, and Jenner’s transgender plans have been on the covers of several gossip magazines, all claiming to have the details on his transition to a woman. Us Weekly appears to have went too far, claiming to have gotten a statement from Bruce Jenner’s daughter, Kendall Jenner.

The problem is, Bruce Jenner has not confirmed or publicly commented on his sex change. His agents and family members have ignored or refused to comment on any speculation he is transitioning from male to female. So, when Us Weekly ran a story claiming that Kendall Jenner finally spoke out regarding her father becoming a woman, it was surprising.

The mag claims the model explained to them, “I love my dad. He’s always been there for me and my sisters. He’s a wonderful man. And just because he’s changing shoes now, so to speak, doesn’t make him less wonderful. I will always love my dad, whether he’s a man or a woman.”

Naughty Gossip uncovered this tweet from Kendall Jenner in response to – what now is being viewed as – the mag’s absurd report: “Shame on US Weekly for making up quotes. I NEVER said those things. I never spoke to them.”

Kendall followed her denial of confirming Bruce Jenner’s transgender status with another dig at Us Weekly asking, “How is it legal for someone to ‘quote’ someone and publish it if in fact you never said what was quoted?”

The Kardashian family typically loves media attention, and Kris Jenner jumps on every opportunity for press. But, the entire family wants to keep Bruce’s transgender plans quiet for the time being. In fact, as CDL reported, Kris Jenner is campaigning to replace Rosie O’Donnell on ‘The View’ and wants to downplay the drama of her divorce from Bruce Jenner and his alleged sex change plans so she can take Rosie’s vacant spot.

As for Bruce Jenner and his transition to becoming a woman, don’t expect to hear official confirmation from any random gossip magazines. According to rumors shared by CNN, the E! Network is creating a documentary on Jenner’s transformation. Buzzfeed claims that Bruce Jenner’s E! project is more of docu-series that will detail his life after filing for divorce from Kris Jenner. If either claim is true, the network will have the rights to announcements and news regarding Bruce’s gender change first.

Kim Kardashian did hint at Bruce’s journey from a man to woman in January. Kim, booty-deep in her own divorce drama with Kanye West, told People magazine, “I will say that I think Bruce should tell his story his way. I think everyone goes through things in life, and I think that story and what Bruce is going through, I think he’ll share whenever the time is right…I think Bruce is very happy, the happiest I’ve ever seen him.”

Update: Since the story was published in the magazine and Kendall expressed concern, the magazine released a long statement claiming they had obtained the interview from a freelance source. Upon checking with the source, and determining (after the fact) that it might not be entirely trustworthy, the mag has retracted the story from their website. The statement ends,

“…editors of Us have concerns about the veracity of this interview and the circumstances under which it was obtained. We would like to retract the story entirely and have removed it from our website. We sincerely apologize to Ms. Jenner and her family.”
