Is Carole Middleton going to divorce Michael Middleton and try to marry a royal? Carole Middleton runs the Cambridge household, and everybody knows that by now. However, the Daily Mail has an extensive new article that reveals the depth of most people’s distaste towards Carole, especially because she’s completely taken over the roles that would traditionally go to Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles. And guess what? Carole’s husband, Michael Middleton, hates it and so do the royals. Divorce is extremely common in the upper echelons of British society (3 of 4 of Queen Elizabeth’s children have been divorced) so why not a nice divorce for Kate Middleton’s mom!
The Mail’s sources claim that Michael is just about done with Carole and her micro-management of every single aspect of Kate Middleton’s life – and by extension, the Cambridge’s life. The source explains, “Michael is ill at ease at the negative attention Carole garners over her constant presence. It’s said to be causing tension in their marriage.”
In fact, Michael Middleton actually waited for Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles to see Princess Charlotte first, and then he went in. Carole Middleton, on the other hand? She could care less about royal ‘protocol’, and instead decided to do whatever she wanted, damn the consequences.
So of course, this is causing issues in their marriage. Michael Middleton understands that the public’s opinion of them is important, but Carole doesn’t care what anyone thinks. In fact, we already know that a divorce is probably coming soon, but even then, I doubt Carole Middleton would care. She already thinks that she’s a royal, so she’ll just try to get a royal husband – or better yet, run everything pretending to be Queen Elizabeth.
Overall, the tone of the Mail’s piece was very negative, so it’s clear that there’s some influential backlash brewing against Carole Middleton. Carole might think that she’s getting away with controlling the Kate Middleton’s and Prince William’s every move, especially as regards domestic matters, but her husband, the royal family, and the general public isn’t going to let her do it for much longer. Either the royals will intervene directly, or the pressure [from the media, especially] will continue building until Carole is faced with no choice but to stop playing first fiddle to Kate, William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte. Unless Carole Middleton divorces Michael Middleton first and actually does manage to marry another royal. Who knows, right?
