Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper Snubbed At 2015 Oscars Because Liberal Hollywood Hates Eastwood’s Republican Affiliation?

Clint Eastwood’s wildly popular film American Sniper, starring Bradley Cooper, didn’t exactly clean house at the 2015 Oscar Awards. Apparently the film which is based on soldier Chris Kyle’s life story’s stellar reviews, impressive box number stats, and incredible casting were not even taken in to consideration when passing out Academy Award’s simply because of the fact that Clint Eastwood was the movie’s director. Why is Clint Eastwood considered public enemy number one among Hollywood’s elite? Well, it all comes down to politics – believe it or not politics are an integral part of the A-Lister society.

According to the March 16 edition of GLOBE Magazine, “Hollywood Liberals snubbed Conservative Clint Eastwood and his flick American Sniper at the Academy Awards, but Dirty Harry is getting filthy rich from audiences who love the film and have paid over $400 Million to see it.” In this week’s edition of GLOBE, Hollywood insider Bill Mann explained, “People vote their politics in the Oscar nominations, they always have. Hollywood is predominantly Liberal, so it should come as no surprise that Eastwood and his movie were predominantly snubbed – even though it has made a ton of money at the box office.”

GLOBE Magazine goes on to explain that Eastwood’s appearance during the 2012 Republican National Convention, in which he made a mockery of President Obama’s policies, secured his fate in Hollywood and rubbed a lot of the elite the wrong way. Anyone who follows the Oscars, or any other Hollywood Awards show for that matter can tell you that some of the winners really have no rhyme or reason to them and baffle fans – which is where the politics come in. In Clint Eastwood’s case, he has built such a large fan base over the years that he can afford to take risks like American Sniper and go against the liberal Hollywood grain and at the end of the day still come out on top… but not at the Oscars!

What do you think of politics in Hollywood? Is Clint Eastwood’s open Republican beliefs the reason American Sniper was snubbed at the Oscars? Or did the movie actually not deserve to win? Should Hollywood movie awards be based on political affiliation and pandering to political statements or good movies? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
