Ellen DeGeneres does not want kids! Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, have been on the verge of a divorce for months – the two women have been fighting over everything from Portia’s substance abuse issues, to Ellen’s temper and controlling behavior, and their careers. But, Portia de Rossi was certain if they had a baby it would save their crumbling marriage, and the couple was supposedly discussing which route they would take – adoption or sperm donors.
Portia de Rossi is devastated though – because Ellen DeGeneres announced on national television that she has no desire to have any kids of her own. On a recent appearance on the “Today Show,” Ellen mentioned in an interview that she did not plan on raising any children of her own. Obviously Portia was not a happy camper when she saw the interview, and all hell broke loose.
According to the latest edition of In Touch Magazine, “They used to discuss the possibility of kids often, either Portia carrying the baby or adopting. Portia was heartbroken when Ellen came clean. Her dreams were shattered.” In Touch’s snitch revealed that Ellen never had any intention of raising a baby with Portia, she was just going along with her wife’s baby fever because she wanted to avoid another argument.
It seems like every celebrity’s solution to save their marriage is to have a baby. But Portia de Rossi is going to have to come up with a Plan B because Ellen seems to have her heart set on not having children. It probably is for the best, because considering Ellen and Portia’s track record and their history of nasty fights, the odds of them not getting a divorce and actually staying married are slim to none. Why bring a baby in to a marriage that most likely won’t last?
