Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi divorce rumors have surprisingly stayed out of the news for the past few weeks, but that doesn’t mean that all is well in their marriage. According to our sources, both Ellen and Portia have been working hard at their relationship for the past few months, and they’ve stayed out of the spotlight while Portia recovers from her alcohol addiction. Portia has been dealing with her booze addiction for the past year, and she even allegedly went to rehab in the spring. Ellen got her the ‘Scandal’ gig to keep her busy, but that doesn’t seem to have helped her all that much.
The fact that it’s New Years right now probably doesn’t help them, especially in regards to Portia’s recovery. There are Holiday parties galore, there is alcohol everywhere, everyone is drinking, and everyone is partying. Portia and Ellen can’t exactly avoid everyone during New Years, but going to New Years parties and being surrounded by alcohol also won’t help anybody.
However, we’re also hearing that Ellen DeGeneres has just about had enough with Portia’s drinking. According to sources, Ellen is extremely worried that Portia will fall off the wagon during New Years, and has even warned Portia that it’ll be divorce if she screws up again. Granted, Portia’s had a lot of opportunities to get her shit together, and Ellen even got her the ‘Scandal’ gig to keep her busy. At this point, there’s not too much else she can do, and one can’t really blame her for giving up.
