A young couple, Nick and Beth, had rented an apartment over the internet on tonight’s all new episode, but after they spent one pretty romantic night christening the place – the boyfriend woke up next his girlfriend’s practically unconscious body and he doesn’t know what happened. So, rather than call the cops, he made a call to his old friend Jake. Jake and Nick apparently are about to work at the same law firm and because the place is pretty straight-laced – both men know an actual investigation shouldn’t go on the books.

Hence, Jake turned to Lindy in his hour of need. He asked his somewhat love interest/ acquaintance to help out his friend and she agreed to do so without knowing the full information.

Acting on all the things Nick gave her, Lindy opened a secret investigation of her own with George’s help. First, they tried looking into the website Nick has used but after that turned out to be too encrypted for them – the two hackers then decided to go the apartment building and hack the mainframe there. And what they found was disturbing. So much so they actually brought in the real NYPD because they realized they needed the help.

It seems someone has been spying on thousands of apartments across the city. Apparently, this someone created a website called Dollhouse that was hidden in another website that advertises apartments for rent. And unfortunately both websites were created because virtually stalking people is how this insane person gets their kicks.

But what happened to Nick and Beth didn’t happen to anyone else. And so Lindy looked into why them. And what she found was Nick’s long history of renting out apartments to constantly cheat on his girlfriend.

Nick failed to mention all the times he would use the same website to rent apartment so it came as quite as a shock when Lindy and George found tens of videos of him and other women. However there was nothing in Dollhouse on the night in question. So working on a theory, the hackers proceeded to reach out to this Beth.

Lindy pretended to be a girl that Nick had slept with and while she was keeping Beth busy – George hacked Beth’s computer. And funnily enough he found the missing footage on her computer.

Beth it seems had known about her boyfriend’s infidelities. And as it happens she wanted to teach him a lesson. Part of the dollhouse website includes a Playhouse section. This Playhouse section allows buyers on the website to purchase a person that’s rented an apartment and Beth had made a special order on the night she was “attacked” involving her boyfriend.

That night she paid for someone to come in and flog him while they were both unconscious. That way she had the perfect alibi and she also got revenge on a boyfriend that constantly cheated on her. But the NYPD on the other hand was more than just a tad freaked out by this Playhouse section.

Random people could order someone off the internet. And these people were eventually drugged and used for whatever purposes their buyers ordered.

And seeing a Lindy rented an apartment – someone purchased her. So Lindy got it into her head that the NYPD should hold a sting with her as bait. She figured this would be the best way to find out who’s behind all of this. Yet, the brutal truth is that anyone could have “purchased” her. Like a certain serial killer perhaps.

So before this sting could happen, Lindy tried to convince Sophia to get out of dodge. But at the time Sophia had company. An old friend of hers from her boarding school days had stopped by and the two of them ended up having so much they missed their ride to Montauk. Meaning other arrangements had to be made for their safety.

Sophia and her friend were brought to headquarters. Where I might add Sophia used the time to eye a certain detective.

And as for Lindy and Tommy, despite their best efforts to capture this person running dollhouse – their culprit got the best of them. Tommy was drugged the second his head hit the pillow and Lindy was snatched from right underneath the NYPD’s noses. In fact they wouldn’t even know she was missing if George hadn’t been secretly watching the video feed with Jake.

Luckily, though, Tommy was instantly on her trail when he did come too.

He had stayed behind at the apartment recovering when everyone else started to search the nearby area. And in doing that he heard Lindy’s screams from the basement. So he was able to stop someone from branding her with an “X”.

But later in questioning, their perp admits he wasn’t paid to brand Lindy. He was just supposed to scare her. It seems that whoever hired him had wanted to hurt Lindy because he felt she betrayed him when he saw her kiss Jake.

Yet Jake is now out of the picture thanks to catching a scene between Lindy and Tommy. So is the killer still going to punish her or has forgiven her after this latest stunt?

THE END!
