Tonight on MTV Finding Cater returns with an all new Tuesday June 9, season 2 episode 11 called, “Wrecking Ball,” and we have your weekly recap and spoilers below. On tonight’s episode, unveiled secrets threaten the bonds of sisterhood.

#FindingCarter starts with Taylor asking Max about Carter’s necklace. Carter comes in and Taylor asks her why the necklace is there. Carter says she has to tell her something and says they slept together. Taylor asks if they’re kidding and says to please say they’re kidding. Carter says it was her fault and Max says it was a mistake. They both tell her they’re sorry. She says she’s sorry they feel so bad but says she feels much worse.
Liz slides David’s wedding ring back onto his finger and says she missed him. They kiss and she says she has to give him his sock drawer back. She asks when they tell the kids but he says they should tell Kyle and Hillary first. They get reminder tones about SAT scores. He says he made the dinner reservations. Taylor tells Carter and Max she doesn’t get how they could let it happen. Max says it was a really bad moment.
Taylor says they thought it was okay since they were broken up. Carter says she can’t explain it away but Taylor says other people’s feelings don’t matter to her. Carter asks how she can fix it and Taylor says she’ll let her know. The parents come in and ask if Taylor is okay but she says she’s just tired. David asks if they remember that today is SAT score day and tells them both to come on. Max says he’s leaving but Liz says he should stay. He reluctantly agrees.
Taylor logs on to check her score – she got a 2300. Carter congratulates her and so does Max. Carter checks her and says it’s 1600. She says it’s average but David says under the circumstances, it’s incredible. Liz says they’re celebrating as a family but Taylor says she can’t. Liz says family dinner and says Max should come along. Taylor tries to get out of it but then has to agree. Upstairs, Taylor mopes in her room when Carter comes in and says she knows she can’t say anything to make it better.
Carter asks to explain what happened. Taylor says she doesn’t want to hear what happened between her and Max. Carter says okay and says she gets it. She leaves. Taylor just cries. Carter goes downstairs and sits on the stairs looking glum and then starts to cry. The doorbell rings. She gets it – it’s Crash. He’s in his Army uniform and everything. She says she’s happy to see him and gives him a big hug. Liz and David say hi to Crash and David says they invited him.
They both greet him warmly and Liz says it’s impressive. He says next he picks a specialty and says he’s thinking about Special Forces at Fort Bragg. Upstairs, Taylor hears them talking. Carter says Taylor got a perfect SAT score but then Taylor says it’s not true then says Carter’s dishonesty is a character flaw. Carter tells Crash that Taylor is mad at her. He asks if she wants to talk about it and Carter says she really does but says it can wait until after dinner.
She asks where he’s staying and he says he got a hotel room in town. She says he could have stayed there but he says he doesn’t want to assume. He leaves for her to get ready and says he’ll be back soon. Crash goes downstairs and tells Liz that he wanted to ask her something. He asks if the cops found his uncle. He says his uncle doesn’t know he enlisted. She says she heard he left the state and is setting up shop in North Carolina. He says he’ll be back soon.
Liz says she invited Gabe and Kyle to the dinner and needs to go tell Kyle face to face that things have changed. He wishes her luck and she leaves. Taylor comes and asks Carter if she’s going to tell Crash and she says she will. Taylor wishes her luck then walks off. Liz goes to see Kyle and he hugs her warmly. He asks her to come inside and offers her a drink. She says she can’t stay and he asks what she means. Liz says she has a dinner and he says he thought they were going together.
Liz says she has to change their plans. He’s floored. He says he should be grateful that she came in person. Liz says she promised him too much and says she’s not leaving David. She says she’s sorry for hurting him. Kyle says she’s not sorry it worked out this way. Liz says she doesn’t want to leave David or the children. She says she loved him and loved what they had. She says he saved him and got her through some of the worst times of her life and will care about him forever.
Kyle says deep down he knew it would go this way but ignored it because he loved her so much. Kyle says she should go and says he doesn’t want to make her feel better about this. She says she’s sorry and he says – just go. He’s deeply hurt. At the restaurant, Carter tells Crash she missed him and he says he’s sorry for not writing her back. She says she knows they have rules but he says he just felt bad about what Shay put them all through. She thanks him for taking responsibility.
Crash says it was about time he did and says he should have done it a long time ago. Shay sits in the parking lot watching them. He’s been stalking them. Liz shows up a few minutes late and tells David it was barely okay and David says one down one to go. Max shows up and gives Crash a hug then says he likes the haircut. They all sit but Taylor won’t look at Max. Kyle has takeout for he and Gabe who asks why they’re not out with the Wilsons. Kyle tells him the news about Liz.
Gabe says he’s sorry and it sucks. Kyle says he let it happen and should have shut thigns down a long time ago. Gabe takes his dad’s phone and says he’s setting up a Tinder profile. He says he’ll have a ping before the dumplings cool. Kyle snatches his phone and says no thanks. Gabe says he can’t go to college and worry about his dad. Kyle says Gabe is a good kid and he’s proud of him. Gabe thanks his dad and says he’s proud of him too.
Gabe says they do all right on their own and they don’t need another cop around here anyway. Kyle says it’s the last thing they need. He tells him to do the Tinder thing but says to make him taller. Crash talks about boot camp and the troubled backgrounds. He says they train you to stop whining and overcome it. David toasts to him and says they’re all proud of him. Max says he’d like to make a toast too. He stands and toasts Taylor and says she’s persevered through all the difficulty.
He says he’s proud of her and loves her. She stomps off and Max follows. Liz asks Carter to fill her in on what’s going on. Taylor asks Max she needs to know what happened and who made the first move. She says what’s stuck in her head is worse. Max says he won’t tell her and won’t hurt her any more. She says she needs to know. Max says his best friend was hurting and they did something that was a leftover from a long time ago and says he didn’t want to hurt her.
Max says this is messed up but it’s not all there is to them. She says to give her a minute and asks him to go back to the table. He does. She goes to the bathroom to wash her face and regain her composure. She goes back out front and then walks past Crash. She tells him there’s something he should know. She then walks back to the table. Crash comes back too. Carter asks if he’s okay and he says sure. Grant talks to him about the dessert but Crash says he can’t eat anything else.
At home, David and Liz talk and he says he called Hillary and left her a message saying they need to talk. She texted him and asked if they’re breaking up then said GTH (go to hell). David says it’s a generational difference and she asks how he knew what it meant and he says he had to look it up. He says he likes them brushing their teeth together and says it’s the good us he’s missed. He steps closer to kiss her and she says she’s nervous.
He says she’s beautiful and kisses her. Crash drives Carter home and she asks if they can talk about it. She asks what Taylor told him. He says she told him what she wasn’t going to. Carter says she was going to tell her. Then she says Lori tried to kill herself and she went to visit her. She says Max went with her. She says Lori told her she never wanted to see her again and her whole childhood was a mistake and she just lost it. She says she didn’t think she cared anymore and wasn’t thinking straight.
She says she was devastated and he was just there. Carter cries and says it’s not an excuse and says it meant nothing. She says she just was out of her mind. She asks him to forgive her. He says to thank her parents for dinner and says he needs some time to think and they’ll talk tomorrow. She makes him promise and he does. Carter then goes to Taylor and says she was going to tell him. Taylor says it’s too late now. Carter asks if it made her feel better and she says a little. Carter says okay then walks out.
Shay waits for Crash at his hotel room and beats on him then has his croney hold a gun on him. He asks Crash how was dinner and says he knew he would find him. Crash says he doesn’t care about Shay and just wants to get back to basic. Shay says he’s his sister’s kid so he can’t kill him but he won’t let him go back to the Army. He says Crash is going AWOL. Crash says if they catch him he’ll go to jail and Shay says that’s the boat he’s in too so it’s family style.
Shay tells Crash he can’t ever see Carter again. Carter’s phone rings and it’s Crash. He says he has to take off and wanted her to know. He says he has to get back to base and she says she thought he had three days. He says he has to go and she says she can ride back to base with him. Shay’s croney snatches the phone then crushes it. Shay says the phone call is all he’s got and says they’ve got to get on the road. Carter calls him back and gets voice mail.
Carter says Crash is leaving maybe for good and rushes out when Taylor asks where she’s going. David and Liz says they want to talk to all the kids but decide to tell her first. They tell her they’re getting back together and Taylor is shocked. They tell her they know they’ve put them through a lot but have decided they don’t want to throw away all that they have. Carter shows up to the hotel looking for Crash. He says he’s gone and says he left with two men.
She asks what they looked like and he says one had tattoos on his neck and the other was shorter. He says they had an argument and left. Carter runs back outside. Taylor comes to see Max at Bird’s place. He offers her a drink. She sits and he takes a chair across from her. She says her parents aren’t breaking up and he says that was great. She says they lied, cheated, let each other down but are moving on. She says she doesn’t get it. Max says they love each other.
Taylor says she did something mean then says she told Crash what happened before Carter could. He asks how Crash took it. He says he hopes they work it out. She says she hopes so too. Taylor says she feels worse now than she did before. Max says she was hurt and lashed out and it happens. Taylor says she’s learning to forgive but it’s hard. Max asks her not to give up on him. Carter searches the hotel parking lot. She steps on the crushed phone.
Carter calls her mom and says she can’t find Crash and thinks Shay had something to do with hit. Liz brings a beat cop and Kyle with her to meet Carter at the hotel. Carter says there’s security footage and says she told the manager not to touch the hotel room. Liz says her SAT scores weren’t great but her police skills are sharp. She sends Carter home with a beat cop. She gets home and David says the love of his life is out there too. Taylor says she missed the parental reunion news.
Liz and Kyle watch footage of Crash being walked out by Shay and the other guy. They spot the other car. Kyle calls it in. Liz asks for a copy of the footage. Kyle says the car was stolen three days ago. Liz makes a call to report Crash and says to assume the men are armed and dangerous. Taylor comes to tell Carter she wants a new beginning. She sits with her and says she’s really sorry. Taylor says if she didn’t tell Crash about her and Max, maybe he wouldn’t have gone to the hotel.
Carter says they were following him and it would have happened anyway. She says it’s human instinct to lash out and Taylor says it’s also instinct to reach out for comfort. She tells Carter to new beginning and they toast with their mug and water bottle. Kyle tells Liz he requested a transfer. She says she hopes one day they can be friends and he says no. He says she was scared and didn’t want to be alone so she leaned on him. He says he’s still in love with her and always will be so he can’t be her friend.
They get a call on the plate and speed off to try and catch Shay. They spot Crash with Shay and his buddy and Kyle says they’re keeping him close. Liz and Kyle creep up on the small car dealership where they were trying to swap out the stolen car. They come out and they tell them to get on the ground. Liz tells Crash to get away. Shay and his buddy resist and Shay ends up shooting Kyle. Liz calls for Crash to get the medical kit out of her car.
Liz pulls his vest off him then radios for medical. She tries to stop the bleeding and Crash pulls out medical supplies and helps her work on Kyle. He goes into shock and Crash helps him. Backup shows up and Liz tells them to cuff Shay and the other guy. Liz begs him not to leave her and says he has all her attention. She holds her hand on his wound and they talk. She screams for help. Carter waits at home when David comes in and says Crash is on the way there and they got Shay.
Taylor takes the phone to talk to her mom and says she loves her. Carter ask about Crash then thanks her. Carter tells Crash her mom says he helped save Kyle’s life and he wouldn’t have made it to surgery without him. Crash says he was just doing what he was trained to do. She tells him she’s sorry about Max and he says the base is just a few hours away and says she can come on weekends and he’ll come back too. He says he loves her and she says she loves him too.
Later, Crash tells David it can’t be easy being married to a cop. David says he worries all day while she’s at work. Liz comes in looking numb. David asks what it is. She tells Carter to get to the hospital. She says Gabe will need her then says Kyle is dead. David hugs her tight. Carter is in shock.
