After just six months of dating, Robert Pattinson surprised FKA Twigs with a marriage proposal – he surprised the rest of us too – but will the two Brits make it down the aisle? First, the duo was talking a simple pub wedding – a couple of pints and some I do’s, but now their plans have stalled because FKA Twigs says she wants something more elaborate. But is Twigs just stalling for time because she’s rethinking getting hitched to Twilight hunk R-Patz?
Since FKA Twigs has been linked to Robert Pattinson, her career has skyrocketed but so has her ostensible irritation with paparazzi attention. And now, there are rumors that she may ditch the handsome actor because she’s gotten what she needs from him. After all, FKA Twigs saw what the super couple pairing with Robert Pattinson did for Kristin Stewart’s career – at least until K-Stew was caught in a mid-day car canoodle with Rupert Sanders.
But now that FKA Twigs has reaped all the benefits of the supercouple, she’s thinking hard about whether Robert Pattinson is her happily ever after and he’s worth all the trouble. Onlookers spotted Twigs in a mild argument on FaceTime with R-Patz at a London airport where she was chastising him for not listening to something important she had just told him a few days ago. If Twigs ditches him, it would rip out Rob’s hard – remember he was hard hit by Stewart’s cheating that came out of the blue.
Even if FKA Twigs is having second thoughts, it looks like Robert Pattinson is all in – he even revealed in a recent interview that he’d like to be a dad very soon. He’s 29 and FKA Twigs is almost 28, so they’re certainly prime age to parent, but will Rob be able to get Twigs down the aisle and into the maternity ward or will she kick him to the proverbial curb? And don’t look for Kristin Stewart to be there to help Pattinson pick up the pieces – K-Stew has moved on to loving the ladies now…
FKA Twigs is reportedly putting off their nuptials with one excuse after another – but mainly by saying she doesn’t know what kind of wedding she wants – she’s even told Robert Pattinson she thinks they should have a masked ball. Is she trying to turn her fiance off with extravagant wedding plans knowing the usual low-key Rob will push back? This could either buy her time to consider if she wants to ditch Pattinson or if keeping him will be better for her career in the long run.
Twigs can clearly see that Kristin Stewart’s career is not nearly as stunning as it was when she was part of the R-Patz, K-Stew power couple. But that could be because of the whole cheating with a married man thing, not solely because of the break up. Or – it could be because they were a star couple? FKA Twigs does not want to see her career take a nose dive, so she’s not ready to cut Robert Pattinson loose just yet. Poor guy – seems the women in his life are just using him to get ahead…
