Gary Busey hit and injured a pedestrian with his car in a grocery store parking lot in Malibu. If you’re ever in Malibu, it’s probably a good idea to stay off the roads. Apparently, parking lots aren’t even safe in the area any more. According to TMZ, Gary Busey was pulling out of a Pavilions grocery store parking space when he rammed his car into a pedestrian on Friday. Busey didn’t see the woman as he put his vehicle in reverse and the blow knocked her to the ground. Fortunately, the woman, who was said to be a bit older, suffered only minor injuries. She was treated at the scene by paramedics before driving home on her own.
Gary Busey’s incident is just the latest in a string of celebrity crashes in Malibu. Bruce Jenner was involved in a much more serious accident last Saturday. The fatal crash caused a pile-up that left one woman dead and several others injured. Mel Gibson also had a mishap of his own last December. He smashed into a parked car in, yet again, Malibu. It’s starting to look like Malibu residents would be better off staying indoors.
Maybe celebrities feel they’re above traffic laws and common courtesy. Perhaps they’re just preoccupied with their own busy lives. Whatever the case, it looks like a person could get some groceries without fear of being run over. Gary Busey typically seems a little spaced out in his interviews and reality shows, but one would hope he could keep it together behind the wheel. At the very least, a glance in the rearview mirror would be helpful. Busey’s reps haven’t made any comments at this time.
