“General Hospital” (GH) spoilers tease that Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) may turn to an old love after Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) decides to try and make his marriage with Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) work. Jason will continue to recover memories of Sam in coming days that reignites his feelings.
With that in mind, plus the fact that he’s still legally married to Sam, Jason may decide to give it a go. This will all happen parallel to Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) discovering that Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher) was the one who had her shot. That doesn’t bode well for that relationship.
While Hayden won’t dump Nikolas immediately, she will step up her schemes to get revenge against him. This will manifest in her work with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) to take ELQ back from Nikolas and also on a personal level as she punishes him for the near assassination.
Ultimately, it looks like Nikolas will have to pay for what he’s done to Hayden and Jason – plus the rest of Port Charles – and will end up alone. Liz too will end up alone soon when Jason shuts her down and goes back to Sam and she’s heated by everyone in town except for Franco (Roger Howarth) – and Nikolas.
What starts out as commiserating their recent relationships gone bad could turn into a brand new relationship for Liz and Nik. There are many things going for them as a couple. First, when they were together before, they had a deep passion and a solid relationship.
It was Nikolas’ brother Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) and Jason himself that put a kink in their relationship working out. Second, Nikolas prefers good girls to bad – and Hayden is oh so bad. Remember how crazy Nikolas was for Emily Quartermaine, the ultimate good girl?
Nikolas has fallen in with bad chick after bad chick recently. First there was Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and now Hayden – and we don’t yet know the extent of Hayden’s badness – it could be cavernous. Liz really wants to be nice and is, at her heart, a nice girl.
It’s only her desire for Jason that makes her act bad. Once Jason is out of Liz’s life, she’ll be good again and that would be perfect to balance out Nikolas’ badness. Plus, Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) needs a good mom in his life.
Nikolas being with Liz would be good for their kids, good for each other, and could help them shake off their past tumultuous relationships. And, what’s also a positive is that Nikolas and Liz know each other’s secrets, so there’s nothing to hide.
They can be open and honest with each other without getting hit with judgment. Plus, and this is a terrible notion, but both Liz and Nikolas know it would drive Jason crazy for them to be together. Nikolas doesn’t mind digging into Jason and Liz may think it serves Jason right for going back to Sam.
So here’s the checklist of reasons why Nikolas and Liz should give love a try…
#1 They still love each other (that’s why they’re great friends) and have hot chemistry…
#2 They are both pariahs in town right now so they can hide out at Wyndemere together…
#3 They are both caring parents who could click their families together into one stronger unit…
#4 They can aggravate Jason, Sam, Carly and lots of others they dislike by being together…
