This week is a busy one in Port Charles – here are some “General Hospital” spoilers for the week of July 20 through July 24. On the little Jake Spencer (James Nigbor) front, his mom Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) takes him to the hospital to make sure he’s healthy and sound. Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson) is shocked to see him alive. Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is also stunned by the news that little Jake is alive and everyone is wondering where those mystery kidneys came from.
Carly will bring Josslyn Jacks (Hannah Nordberg) back in to see Silas Clay (Michael Easton) and will explain the development to him. The docs will confirm that both Jake and Josslyn are healthy and fine and they will decide that Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) must have bought off the transplant team and some other of the GH staff. Will someone be implicated?
And now that his son is back alive, Liz will feel so much worse about not telling Jake Doe (Billy Miller) that he’s really Jason and that Jake is his son. Liz has almost told him so many times but keeps wimping out. With Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) waking up in a couple of weeks, Liz’s time is running out. Plus, this week, someone else will find out the Jake is Jason secret – Laura Spencer (Genie Francis).
Laura chats up son Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher) and wants to know why he took over ELQ and why he’s making so many enemies among those that were his friends. Nik does have some explanations to offer, and Laura will back off for now, but she wants to keep a closer eye on Nik and this will be easier since she decided to stay in Port Charles.
Laura will go see Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner) to tell him she’s got a big fat secret she’s holding onto and that she’s thinking of sticking around. Will she blab to Scotty about Jake/Jason? Scotty would love to know that tidbit before Sonny does. Luke and Laura talk about the consequences of their actions. Luke will be gone by a week from Monday, so this is their last chance to hash things out.
Dillon Quartermaine (Robert Palmer Watkins) also tries to make Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) see reason on the subject of Luke, but Tracy is so over Luke and his lies and drama. Good for her! But Sabrina Santiago (Teresa Castillo) and Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell) need to talk to Luke about the AJ Quartermaine clinic – they want to put it on the grounds where the old Spencer home is now.
Luke wants to visit his childhood home, the place of all his terrible teen torments, one last time before he leaves and the house is flattened. While there, Luke gets some spectral visitors. One is sure to be his dead mom Lena Eckert (Laura Wright), another is likely to be his dead sister Patricia Spencer (Dee Wallace) and the third is yet a mystery – will it be his evil dad Tim Spencer?
Luke will also visit sister Bobbie Spencer (Jaclyn Zeman) to tell her he’s leaving town and all about his plans. Luke is almost done with all his goodbyes and ready to hit the road. He also chats up Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) about little Jake then she tells him that she and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) are struggling as a result of her getting wrapped up in the kidnapping mess.
At work, Dante asks Valerie Spencer (Brytni Sarpi) to keep quiet about the sex and she agrees but then he gets slammed with a warning from his boss Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine) about dipping his quill in the company ink. Dante is feeling so guilty that he decides to unburden himself to Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) about the one night stand, but will Nathan keep it quiet? And, of course, Lulu turns up to the PCPD to confront Val in a jealous rage.
Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) organization is under attack and Julian Jerome (William deVry) swears he’s not involved. He’s not, but who is? While Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) grill Julian over this big mob move, Julian will wonder if it’s his “sister” Denise DeMuccio (Maura West). After all, Julian told her she could have the territory.
Undeterred by Dante’s faltering marriage, Nathan plans a special evening for Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). Is Nathan thinking of popping the question? Not everyone is a fan of Naxie, though. Nathan’s evil mom Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills) crashes Nathan and Maxie’s date, eager to interfere. Madeline doesn’t think anyone is good enough for her baby boy, particularly not Maxie.
A GH nurse this week will tell Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) something that will shock him and puts his relationship with Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) on the rocks. Brad makes a confession to confirm what the nurse revealed then calls of the wedding with Lucas. Could Brad already be married? And to a woman? The secret is big and has something to do with either Brad’s adoptive or biological families.
Meanwhile, Franco (Roger Howarth) tells Ava/Denise that she needs to come clean to Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) about who she is and what’s going on. But Ava just can’t keep her pants on and will be unwilling to give up Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) so, for now, they will keep up with their affair and Franco has to decide between Nina Clay (Michelle Stafford) and Kiki.
