The month long GH murder mystery starts now. Check out these “General Hospital” spoilers for the Thursday, August 6 episode of the hit ABC soap. First, Nina Clay (Michelle Stafford) is in a panic when news of Silas Clay’s (Michael Easton) murder breaks and it’s revealed that Franco (Roger Howarth) was arrested for the crime. Nina will call her rat fink hubby Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) to ask him for help. The question is, though, is she asking Ric to help her or Ric to go help Franco? And will Ric spring Franco from jail?
Before Ric can do anything, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) will interrogate Franco about Silas’ murder. Will Franco tell Nathan he’s covering for Nina and about the bloody knife knowing that Nathan will protect Nina? If there’s any DNA on Silas’ body, it’s the real killer’s and Nina’s since she was touching him. Franco wiped all the prints from the knife so all the PCPD has is that Franco had the knife on him.
A distraught Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) tells Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) that her dad left her a voice mail saying he had something important to tell her. Kiki wonders what was so urgent and whether this led to his death. Kiki thinks she’s now lost both her biological parents and is devastated. Morgan feels horrible he’s dead but sort of glad his secret with Denise DeMuccio (Maura West) is safe.
And speaking of Denise, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) comes knocking to ask Denise about Silas’ death. What led Dante to Ava’s door? Is Ava worried that Franco will flip on her and turn her in to make a deal for Silas’ murder rap? Or was there something on Silas’ phone that led Dante to her door? Perhaps Silas sent a text as he left there? What is tying Denise to Silas for the cops to investigate?
Denise has an interesting chat with Julian Jerome (William deVry). Both of the siblings are keeping secrets from each other and from the world. Will they have a little confession time and come clean to each other? Either Ava or Julian is likely involved in the mob violence going on in Port Charles plus Denise is keeping her Ava secret. Ava is ready to come clean to Julian, at least on some issues.
Now that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had his confrontation at the meeting of the Five Families and killed the Russian mob guy that was buying his stolen goods, he knows for sure there’s a Jerome involved. So what’s next? Will he go back and confront Julian or will he make a counter attack of his own? Port Charles seems like a mob powder keg about to explode.
Jake Doe (Billy Miller) will tell Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) that Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) woke up. Liz wants to know what she said. Of course, Liz runs to Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher) with the news and Liz wants the truth from Nik about who shot Hayden. Jake will also know that Liz is going behind his back to Nik.
Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) confronts Hayden about faking her memory lapse but Hayden won’t tell what she knows about Jake. Will Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson) overhear them talking? Sam needs to come clean to Patrick about working with Jake and keeping Patrick in the dark because of his tight connection with Liz who clearly cannot be trusted not to blab to Nik.
