“General Hospital” (GH) spoilers indicate that Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) will dig up more than just dirt on Jake Doe (Billy Miller) and ELQ during her investigation into Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher). Rumor has it that while Sam and Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) are all up in Nikolas’ business, Sam will find out a shocker about Anna and will have to decide what to do next. Will Sam’s investigation into Nikolas save Anna from the slammer?
Nikolas is tied to Kyle Sloane (Robb Derringer) and Kyle was tied to Carlos Rivera (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) because he helped Anna cover up the murder – yet kept evidence to implicate her. That evidence is now in the hands of evil DA Paul Hornsby (Richard Burgi) who has faked that Sloane’s body is Carlos’s body. Anna asked to see the body and realizes there’s been a mistake.
Anna goes to Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine) and asks to see the harbor body, the one everyone claims is Carlos. Too bad she can’t see it because Paul furthered his ends by having Carlos’ body prematurely cremated to prevent anyone from figuring out it was actually Sloane. This begs the question, though, where is dead Carlos? Hmm… Did Sloane tell Paul where he stuck him?
Even though Anna couldn’t see the corpse, she sweet talked the Medical Examiner into letting her see the autopsy report and she knows it’s not Carlos – primarily because she knows exactly where and how many times she shot him – and those wounds don’t match the ones that Paul inflicted on Sloane, but Anna can’t simply say that – unless she wants to go to jail.
How can Anna express her doubts about the identity of the body without implicating herself? Anna may then turn to Sam for help in checking into the PCPD files on the body and the murder since Anna can’t get them through legitimate channels. If Anna turns to Sam for help, she will give something away by stating more than she should know which would give Sam a clue that Anna is not being honest with her.
Once Sam corners Anna about the facts of the case, Anna will have to come clean to Sam. Lucky for Anna, Sam rarely operates on the right side of the law. Plus Sam liked Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan) and she knows what a ruthless killer that Carlos was, so she will likely not turn Anna into the PCPD. What makes this tough on Sam, though, is that Carlos is a lot like Jason Morgan (Billy Miller).
Consider this – Carlos was the Jerome enforcer, Jason was the Corinthos enforcer. Carlos had a complicated family history, as did Jason. Carlos had a love he would do anything for – Sabrina Santiago (Teresa Castillo) just as Jason would do for Sam. And both were gunned down on Port Charles piers – Carlos on 54 and Jason on 52 – and both were kicked in the water like they were garbage to be tossed out.
The similarities have to give Sam pause but, even so, she won’t turn Anna in and instead may help Anna dig into who the found corpse really is – of course, it’s Sloane. Sam could very well become Anna’s only lifeline when Paul makes his move to frame Anna for killing Sloane. Unfortunately, since Paul saw Anna reading the report, he may fast-track his plot to make Anna look guilty.
But what remains to be seen is how Paul could implicate Anna as killing Sloane when Sloane’s body is gone and will never turn up now. Unless Paul has now changed his mind and will pursue Anna for the Carlos thing… Paul has tricksy things afoot and it will be interesting to watch them unravel. Sam can help Anna track down Sloane’s text message locations and figure out Sloane has gone missing.
Anna may be able to lie to the schlubs over at the PCPD about Carlos since they’re clueless, but she won’t be able to get away with fibbing to clever Sam. Lucky for Anna, Sam will be loyal to the Brit and help her figure out who’s after her, what really happened to Sloane and help keep her out of Pentonville so she can be around for Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson) and Emma Drake’s (Brooklyn Rae Silzer).
