Here are some “General Hospital” spoilers to get you ready for the Monday, August 24 episode of the hit ABC soap. The Silas Clay murder trial continues with all of Port Charles startled by its revelations. First, Scotty Baldwin’s (Kin Shriner) interrogation of Denise DeMuccio (Maura West) continues on Monday. Turns out Scotty has a different set of DNA results. Did Scotty have the cops take a water bottle from her to run a saliva DNA test? Either way, Scotty knows she’s really Ava Jerome and it ready to blow her cover story wide open.
What excuse can Ava offer? “Denise” better come up with something fast. The most shocked by this revelation will be Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) followed by Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin). Kiki will be thrilled to know her mom is back from the dead, particularly after Ava says on the stand that the only reason she came back from the dead was for Kiki and baby Avery.
But Morgan is going to lose it. It seems like Morgan is hanging on by a thread mentally and the revelation that love of his life Ava is still alive may fracture what’s left of his sanity. Expect Morgan to be off the rails soon and getting more manic by the moment. Both Ava and Morgan will soon have some explaining to do to Kiki about their recent actions.
While Scotty is revealing Ava’s identity in court, Julian Jerome (William deVry) will entrust Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) with the secret that his murderous sister Ava is alive. Later, Alexis meets up with her daughter Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) and tells her that she thinks Julian is up to something. Is Julian going to try and steal the evidence against Ava? What else could he be up to?
Julian makes a stop to see his nemesis Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). This confrontation will involve a lot of accusations on both side. Julian is certain that Sonny is setting him up to take the fall for his own actions. Sonny is certain that Julian is the driving force behind all the attacks on the Corinthos syndicate. When will these two get a clue they should look elsewhere?
Looking for a motive in the Silas Clay (Michael Easton) murder case, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) tells Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) that Nina Clay (Michelle Stafford) told him that Silas kidnapped baby Avery but wouldn’t tell him why. Nathan and Maxie put their heads together to try and figure out why Silas kidnapped Avery. The plot is pretty complex, so will it dawn on them?
Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson) and Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) talk about their mutual relationships. Liz fills Patrick in on her engagement with Jake Doe (Billy Miller) and Patrick wishes her well so long as Liz is certain that Jake is the guy for her. Liz is certain but, then again, she knows exactly who Jake is. That’s okay, Patrick will also know what’s what very soon.
Jake spends the day hanging out with little Jake Spencer (James Nigbor) and they do some serious bonding. There’s a good chance that spending time with little Jake will trigger some memories in big Jake. Still, he won’t figure it out on his own. Rumor has it that it will be Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) who gives Jake the nudge he needs to remember.
