Most people don’t know who Tala Alamuddin is, but Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney are planning to change that. Utilizing the assistance of their best friends at People Magazine, they have ‘sources’ talking about how amazing and fashion-forward and stunning Tala Alamuddin is. And who is Tala Alamuddin, you might ask? Why, she’s none other than Amal Alamuddin’s sister, and George Cooney’s sister-in-law. But apparently, she’s also a famewhore like her sister, so perhaps famewhoring just runs in the family.
See, People has a ‘source’ explaining, “Tala is a jewel. She’s a giver. And very close with Amal.” Well, to be fair, People credits a ‘Alamauddin relative’, not a ‘source’, with this particular quote. But even then, of COURSE her family is going to think that she’s a ‘jewel’ and a ‘giver’. What are they supposed to say? ‘Oh yeah, Tala’s jealous of all the attention that Amal is getting, and she wants to be famous as well…’
However, the People report touches upon a lot more than Tala Alamuddin’s generous personality traits. The report also talks about Tala’s amazing fashion senses, explaining, “Just like her sister, Tala’s got some serious style. The meal may have been an intimate family occasion, but Tala looked glamorous enough for a night on the red carpet in a white ensemble (complete with a sexy slit) finished off with a pair of sleek snakeskin boots.”
Did we really need an entire report detailing how amazing Tala’s style was? I mean, really? Who actually cares about this, other than Tala and [maybe] Amal? It’s a very transparent attempt to make Tala Alamuddin famous and People-friendly, using the thin disguise of ‘fashion’ as reasoning. But hey, if it works, it works….
