#Grimm begins with Nick pointing the gun at Monroe. Hank knocks him out of the way just in time. Juliette says them de-powering Adalind does her a favor. She stomps out. The others tell Nick they’re done trying to help her. Nick calls to warn Sean about J being off the rails and Jack the Ripper answers the phone and says Sean can’t come to the phone. Hank and Nick rush off. Rosalee cries and hugs Monroe.
Wu meets the guys at Sean’s place and find the door unlocked. Wu heads around back. They search and find an open back door as well. They head upstairs. They find Sean in the bedroom and he’s unhurt and alone and mystified by them bursting in. They ask Sean where his cell phone is and says Jack answered his phone. They call his phone again and find it on the table. Sean says he was asleep when Nick called and then ask if he left the door open.
They tell him that Jack answered his phone and then they head to Henrietta’s which is where he said he last was. They find her dead and Wu calls it in. She looks to be slashed up like the other women. The techs show up to work the scene. Hank says Jack said “we had a rough night – she was a real fighter.” Sean says the guy must be stalking him after the press conference and says Nick calling may have scared him off. OMG is Sean really Jack? Is he possessed from beyond?
Nick tells Wu to keep surveillance on at the captain’s place. A guy rides a motorcycle home and into his garage. He’s grabbed by two men. A van pulls up and they’re told position two is secure. Men bust into a house and a couple is tackled. It’s Kenneth’s men! They have taken over a couple of neighbors’ homes to keep an eye on Nick’s place. Juliette brings Kenneth into Nick’s place and says Nick took down all their photos. She has a flash of when they were in love then tells Kenneth where all the doors are.
They’re waiting for Kelly Burkhardt. Kenneth asks what else he should know and she says not really. She tells him there are two bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs and they head up. She shows them their bedroom. Kenneth says that’s where Nick and Adalind made their baby and she agrees. J says if she’s going to work with the royal family he needs to have a clear understanding of how valuable she can be. She throws him on the bed and they start making out.
Nick asks Sean why he was at Henrietta’s and he says he’s having recurring dreams of being shot and his old wounds start to bleed. He says doctors can’t find any problem and he says he wakes up in places and has no clue how he got there. He says she didn’t have any answers for him. Sean is worried that Jack may be framing him or drugging him. They tell him to keep his phone on him and try to get some sleep. Outside, Hank says something is off and Nick asks what if something is in Sean controlling him.
They tell the uniform outside to let them know if anyone comes in or out. Sean watches them leave. Nick comes home and heads upstairs. He sees the bed is rumpled and pulls his gun. He checks the bathroom and sees nothing. He thinks about he and Adalind in that bed and thinks it was her. He calls Hank and says Adalind may know what’s going on with the captain. Sean sleeps and has nightmares of being shot again. He wakes and sits up. His chest hurts but it’s not bleeding.
He goes to the bathroom and washes his face then looks in the mirror. He asks himself what the hell is going on. A change overtakes him and another voice – Jack’s – says he’s been a bad boy and it’s only going to get worse. There’s blood on his chest now from the old wounds and he keels over on the bathroom floor in obvious pain. Nick calls Bud – he was dozing in a chair holding a bat – he wants to talk to Adalind. He’s at the door and Nick startles Bud knocking.
He asks what’s wrong and what’s happening. Nick goes to the bedroom to wake Adalind. Hank asks Bud if he’s sleeping and he says he’s not and says he doesn’t know how they live with all this tension. Adalind opens her eyes and asks what happened to Juliette. She asks if J drank it and now he’s there to kill her. Nick says it didn’t work because she wouldn’t drink it. He says she destroyed it. Adalind asks why and Nick says Juliette likes what she is and likes the power and won’t give it up.
Nick tells her there’s something wrong with Sean and is dreaming of being shot and wakes up bleeding. She asks if he’s having blackouts and she asks if he died when he was shot. She asks if he was pronounced dead but Nick doesn’t know. He says Sean’s mother was there. Adalind says he died long enough for a portal to open and Sean brought something back with him. She asks if he knows but Nick says he can’t remember anything. She says the thing can completely take over.
Adalind tells Hank they have to kill him to open the portal. Hank goes to see Monroe and Rosalee and wonder if doing the Dead Faint toxin would be enough to get rid of the creature. Rosalee asks if they’re sure Sean did these things. Nick gets a call and says Sean is on his way in. Monroe and Rosalee get to work. Someone comes to the burned out site of the trailer and picks up an implement off the floor. They kick some wreckage over and look at a sketch of a Wesen.
Hank and Nick check security footage looking for Sean. Nick finds something and shows Hank that Sean was near the first killing. Sean shows up and asks to see them both in his office now. Hank tells Nick they may not know who or what they’re talking to if Sean has been overtaken. Sean tells them both there’s something very wrong with him and he says he dreamed, bled, fell and woke up in bed. He says he heard a voice. Hank says he blacked out again.
Nick asks if he remembers driving at 11:30 three night ago. He says he was asleep but Nick says his car was seen close to the first crime scene just before the time of death. Nick tells him about the portal theory and that something came back from death with him. Sean asks if he’s saying he’s possessed. Hank says he went to see Henrietta and Nick says Sean may no longer be in control of what he’s doing. Hank says Monroe and Rosalee are working on something.
He rants and says he wants to know what’s happening. They ask him to turn over his gun. He does. Sean says whatever happened, it wasn’t him. Sean says someone needs to be watching him that understands. They go explain to Wu what’s going on and says Sean is basically under house arrest. Wu asks about the other guy inside him and they tell Wu not to let Sean leave and to call them if anything happens. Jack takes over Sean’s body and stares at Wu – he says this should be a jolly good romp.
Juliette is dropped of at Nick’s house by a car and Rispoli tells Kenneth he never thought Juliette would go this far but Kenneth says he’s not sure what she won’t do. Wu drives Sean home and the captain goes inside. Wu calls Nick to tell him he dropped him off. Nick says they’ll be there soon. Rosalee finishes the dead faint and says Sean can’t know what he’s taking because Jack may know. He says the spirit has to think Sean is dying to leave the body.
Nick says he thinks they could tell him it’s memory potion and Rosalee says that’s not enough. Monroe says they need to put on a show and Nick says they may have to shoot him. At his house, Sean is freaking out and his wounds start bleeding. He slaps at himself and tells himself to stop. Then he draws on the mirror in blood – against his will – and it says what looks like Jack – there may be more. Sean comes running out and says it’s inside.
Wu gets out of the car and asks where. Sean says inside him in Jack’s accent then knocks Wu out and says they’re going to have a bloody good time. Someone shows up at Nick’s house. Juliette opens a drawer and pulls out a framed photo of she and Nick. She thinks back to Kelly being there with Adalind and her baby. Kenneth calls and says someone is on the porch. She asks if it’s her and he says he doesn’t know yet and there’s no child.
Kenneth says it’s not Kelly – just some kid. Juliette ends the call. The person on the porch walks away. Jack is driving Wu’s car with Wu in the back. He says it’s good to be alive and is driving like a maniac. Hank and Nick get to the house and see that Wu’s car is gone and his gun is one the ground. Nick calls in to track his patrol car. Jack sings an old song madly while Wu cowers in the back. Nick calls and Jack ignores the call.
Nick and Hank see the blood on the mirror that says “Welcome back Jack.” Jack pulls up the car and spots a blonde hooker. Wu tries to talk sense to him but Jack just says – watch and learn – and goes over to the girl. Wu says – no, no, no – and struggles to get loose. Jack goes over the hooker. Hank gets a call about Wu’s car and they rush off. The hooker walks off with Jack while Wu tries to kick out the back. Kenneth’s guy loses sight of the girl he was following.
He goes down an alley and crouches down to look below some dumpsters then sniffs and woges. His head is lopped off fast then kicked out of the way. It’s Trubel! She opens his hand and sees the mark there then looks around. Wu tries to kick out the window as he screams. Jack and the Hooker walk down the block and he says it’s far enough. She backs up against a wall and says they need to talk price. He says he’s sure she’s worth the price. Nick and Hank show up and Wu tells him he has a woman.
They go running and looking. Nick listens with his Grimm ears and hears Jack whispering to the woman who says kissing is extra. He says there won’t be any kissing and Nick grabs his hand just as he goes to stab her. They tell the hooker to run away and she does. As soon as they take him down, he seems to come back to himself and asks where he is. They take him to the spice shop and tell Sean they have a memory potion. He asks what if he remembers killing the girls.
Nick says they know it wasn’t him but have to know what they’re dealing with. Sean agrees. Wu pulls his gun and says it’s just in case. Nick uncuffs him. They hand over the potion and he says maybe it’s best he does remember. He gulps it down. He hands back the beaker and then sighs. He asks what now. Rosalee says they have to wait and says he may want to lie down. He does. They all stand looking at him. Back at Nick’s place, Kenneth sees another vehicle pull up. Juliette waits in her old bedroom.
The phone rings and she goes for it. She asks if it’s Kelly and it is. She says Nick isn’t home and the front door is unlocked. Kelly gets out of the car and grabs the child from the back. Kenneth’s men watch from their nearby position. They confirm it’s Kelly and she has the kid. They watch her go up the stairs and into the house. J lurks close to the door as Kelly calls out to her. J hears a struggle and screams and then sounds of someone woging.
One man says they need to take it outside. Juliette hears the child crying and creeps closer. She walks downstairs. She hears a child sniffling. J calls to Diana who is sitting alone on the floor. She picks her up and holds her. Kenneth shows up and says – we got her. He comes closer and looks at the child. J looks kind of bewildered like maybe she’s having second thoughts. Sean says he’s getting sleepy and says he’s not remembering anything. Rosalee says feeling sleepy means it’s working.
Rosalee creeps closer to check his pulse and says it’s slowing down. Then Jack wakes and puts Rosalee in a choke hold. They tell Nick to shoot him as he threatens and strangles Rosalee. She woges and bites him and he lets her go. The guys all open fire with rubber bullets. He goes down and it looks like something black and smoky left his body. Rosalee gives him a shot to try and revive him and they wait a few moments. He chokes back to life. Monroe asks if it’s really him.
Sean asks what happened and why he feels like he got hit by a truck. They lift him up and Rosalee asks what he remembers. He says he remembers coming there and they gave him something. He says he doesn’t think the memory potion worked and then he has chest pain. He rips his shirt open but instead of the bullets and wounds, there is healed skin. They tell him they think they cured him and Jack is gone. There’s a pounding on the door and it’s Trubel.
She says they have to go now because there are a lot of people at his house and something is going down. Juliette rides with Kenneth and Diana who asks where’s her mama. They don’t answer. Kenneth says it’s been a good night. At his place, Nick and Trubel head inside and she sees a box on the floor. She calls Nick over and he sees it too. He goes over cautiously then opens it – his mother’s head is inside. He’s horrified and furious. Trubel takes a look and Nick starts gasping and says – no. He collapses to the floor and screams No! No! No!
