Harvey Weinstein Sexual Assault Allegations: Model Amber Battilana Supposedly Asked For Movie Role In Blackmail Effort

Model Amber Battilana is currently embroiled in a lawsuit against Harvey Weinstein for sexual assault, alleging that he grabbed her breasts and in between her legs during an audition. There are conflicting reports about the timeline of this incident, with sources telling the NY Post that Amber refused to ‘cooperate’ with authorities for four days after she first went to them with allegations that Weinstein sexually assaulted her.

Apparently, in those four days, Amber Battilana and her managers were trying to cut a deal with Harvey to get her into one of his movies. The source explained, “She didn’t want to be interviewed by the Manhattan DA’s Office. But once it became apparent that the movie role was just a pipe dream, then she went forward with the criminal case.”

The report also alleges that Amber’s former lawyer, Mark Jay Heller, actually withdrew from the case because of Amber’s ‘behind-the-scenes shenanigans’ and because she ‘didn’t appear to be a serious victim’.

Plus, even a day after filing the police report, Amber reportedly attended the Weinstein-produced Broadway play ‘Finding Neverland’ in a sixth-row orchestra seat, which she even tweeted. However, her current lawyer has already denied all these other claims, stating, “She immediately went to the police, immediately cooperating with the Special Victims Squad. This is a pretty much standard go-to defense to attack the victim.”

There’s also the fact that the authorities set up a ‘controlled call’ after Amber reported the incident to the police, recording a phone call between Amber and Harvey. During the call, Harvey didn’t confess to any wrongdoing or sexual assault, but apparently, he, “sounded like a lecherous old man who wanted Amber to cooperate with his interest in her. If that recording was played in open court, he’d have a problem.”
