Tonight on NBC world renowned chef Gordon Ramsay’s television series Hell’s Kitchen where aspiring chefs compete returns with an all new Tuesday March 24, season 14 episode 4 called, “15 Chefs Compete,” and we have your weekly recap below. On tonight’s episode, the Top 15 contestants face chopping more than 500 pounds of onions if they lose the first challenge, which is to prepare American comfort food for two guest judges. On the last episode, it was a seafood battle as the men and women dove in to their team challenge, where they had to successfully match the heads and tails of some of the most popular fish for a special surprise advantage in the kitchen. The team that presented the most impressive dishes to Chef Ramsay and special guest judge, Michael Cimarusti, Chef and Partner of Connie and Ted’s restaurant in Los Angeles, won a day of surf and sun in beautiful Manhattan Beach, CA. The losing team was back at the kitchen cleaning, hauling and gutting the next seafood delivery. Then, the dinner service began and one team will struggle to make it past the first course, leading Chef Ramsay to eject them early from the night’s competition. Find out who was safe and who will go home. Did you watch the last episode? If you missed it, we have a full and detailed recap right here for you.

Michael was gone and, though this has to be rough for him to hear, no one actually appeared to miss him once he was sent packing. In fact one the very same night he was eliminated, the contestants decided on tonight’s all new episode of “Hell’s Kitchen” to celebrate by having a relaxing night hanging out with each other. So rather than mourn – they were doing their best to have fun. And the only wet blanket these partygoers had to contend with was Bret.
You see Bret has an attitude problem. And that’s starting to affect the way his teammates see him because while they understand him getting upset when they lose a challenge – Brett tends to go overboard. Meaning he completely loses it. Especially when he runs off at the mouth.
Which is something we later saw for ourselves when the Blue team lost their third challenge in a row.
As part of the challenge for tonight’s episode, the contestants were asked to put a modern take on an All-American classic. Thus both blue and red team were split up into smaller groups and were told to cook four dishes. Macaroni and cheese, burgers, pizzas, and pasta. Otherwise known as our traditional comfort foods in the states. However, both team teams did really great jobs with the task they were handed. So the competition all came down to a tie.
And Ramsay doesn’t really allow ties. So out of the four dishes, he picked the best and the red team ended up winning another challenge.
Hence Bret was upset, frankly so much so that Ramsay had even commented on it, and he took out his anger backstage with his teammates. He complained and he scowled at everyone. But what pushed the rest of the blue team over the edge was when Bret said no one is taking that loss as hard as he was. And, hey, some of them found that unfair.
No one wants to lose and when it came to time for punishment – they were right there with him cutting up what felt like tons of onions. Meanwhile the girls were on a sailboat having drinks with Ramsay!
For the dinner service, though, both teams were told it was going to be family style at the restaurant. I.e. there was going to be children everywhere and the chefs, who were supposed to do this from the very beginning, had to take extra precautions to make sure everything was well-cooked. It’s not like the restaurant or Ramsay was going to allow a child to feast on someone’s half-assed work.
But just like last week, no one was getting their act together. The blue team kept messing up on appetizers. Like Brett throwing in an old risotto into a new dish of risotto. And then the guy compounded an overall bad night by trying to put up raw steaks for entrées.
Chef Ramsay was never going to allow that and so he made the blue team eat that steak.
Yet, in spite of what they did, at least the blue team was not thrown out of their kitchen like the red team. The red team constantly had a raw meat problem and unfortunately them it never got better seeing as it was Monique and Mieka that was manning the station. So Ramsay threw them out and told them to come up with two nominees.
And they came up with Monique and Sarah. You see the reason they didn’t nominate Meika is because they knew she would be sent home it came down to her and Monique. So they tried to strategize. It was their hope that Ramsay would eliminate Monique instead of Sarah. But he saw through their ruse, thanks in large part to Monique, and he still sent Meika home and kept Monique around for another week.
Apparently, Ramsay had seen Meika had given up and he didn’t want someone like that around.
THE END!
