Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was pulled off the air after it was found out Mama June was dating Mark Anthony McDaniel, Sr., who allegedly molested one of June’s children, Chickadee. Well, now, in light of the show’s cancellation, Chickadee is after some money – and she doesn’t care who she takes down in the fight to get it.
Let’s rewind for a second. Once upon a time, a little girl named Honey Boo Boo took part in a beauty competition on TLC’s controversial Toddlers & Tiaras. She became an overnight sensation; people fell in love with her idiosyncratic mannerisms and her penchant for drama. She was given her own reality show, which her evil Mama abused and misused in the name of “entertainment”.
The overhyped Here Comes Honey Boo Boo became a victim of its own eccentricity. TLC canned the show in 2014 after reports surfaced that Mama June (real name June Shannon) was dating Mark Anthony McDaniel, Sr., a convicted child molester. The tragic story took an ominous turn when Mama June’s eldest daughter – the aforementioned “Chickadee” – revealed that she was the victim of McDaniel’s molestation.
Anna Shannon “Chickadee” Cardwell brought the show – and the family – to a sudden standstill. TLC halted all production and cancelled the show indefinitely. No show, no money, no respect. The embattled matriarch grabbed the money – literally and figuratively – and ran to the cow-crap hills with the family in tow.
Now Chickadee wants her share of fortune, with or without Mama June’s consent. According to TMZ, “We’re told Chickadee feels entitled to some of the money because June’s only claim to fame is the TLC show, of which Chickadee was a big part. Yes, it’s a thin argument at best. And our sources say June has told Chickadee to pound sand… her money is her money.”
Dear Mama June, you managed to screw up one of the most popular reality television shows in history by dating your daughter’s molester. You didn’t really do anything on the show, now did you? You just sat there and mumbled like a crazy meth addict. Give Chickadee the money, and go away. Forever.
