The love story between Ian Somerhalder and his newly married wife Nikki Reed continues and Nina Dobrev is getting jealous. The couple was married only a few weeks ago, and now they are celebrating Nikki Reed’s birthday together for the first time as a married couple on Monday, May 18. Somerhalder took to Instagram to post a beautiful picture of the couple, with a heartfelt message.
The Vampire Diaries star wrote, “Happy Birthday my love. Me and the world celebrate you and hope all of your dreams come true. I’m in awe of your compassion to create positive change in the world..”
In the black and white photo, Somerhalder is on one need giving his wife a candlelit cupcake, while Nikki Reed has her eyes closed making a wish. Reed, who turned 27 years old, is smiling to herself as her husband admires her.

We’re sure this does not make Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev happy at all. Nina Dobrev recently quit The Vampire Diaries after breaking up with Ian Somerhalder. While she insists that her break up with Ian and him dating her ex best friend Nikki Reed, had nothing to do with her leaving the show, we find out very hard to believe that everything is fine and dandy for the young star.
We reported before that a source revealed to Star Magazine that “Nikki didn’t feel like she did anything wrong, but Nina did. She had confided in Nikki about Ian and felt used. Seeing them together made it not fun to come to work anymore.
Surely, seeing all of Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder’s sappy posts on social media must be making it difficult for a jealous Nina Dobrev to move on with her life. Right before this picture, Somerhalder posted a shirtless selfie with Nikki Reed, from their honeymoon in Costa Rica. He wrote, “…Thank you to this beautiful woman who makes every day a dream come true. Pure Vida.”
