Jamie Dornan is trying to distance himself from co-star Dakota Johnson and the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise, he hates them both! Have you noticed that in the last few weeks, the only person actively promoting Fifty Shades of Grey has been Dakota Johnson? Jamie Dornan did his contracted bit, and then ran away the minute the movie broke box office records. However, Dakota has been painstakingly making the media rounds, including stopping at the Oscars for a presenting gig and then going on SNL this weekend. It’s fairly obvious that in Hollywood’s eyes, Dakota Johnson is the only one that’s really going to benefit from the success of this movie, but that’s really Jamie Dornan’s fault.
According to recent reports [and our own sources], Jamie absolutely hated working with Dakota Johnson, he hated that he signed on to Fifty Shades of Grey, and he’s completely ashamed and embarrassed to be involved with this kind of project. Forget the fact that the film made boatloads of money, broke several box office records, and more or less made him a household name – our sources claim that he doesn’t care about all that, and he regrets not staying a ‘proper’ actor and just vying for a superhero role like the rest of his contemporaries.
Pretty much every single review of the movie agrees, and states that Jamie Dornan was clearly phoning it in while Dakota Johnson was at least trying to make an impression. As such, Jamie already trying to distance himself from the franchise makes sense, even though he IS contracted to more movies. But Dakota Johnson has been the epitome of charm whenever she hasn’t been shackled to Jamie in promotional duties, and luckily for her, people are noticing.
What do you guys think? If the sequels to Fifty Shades of Grey do go ahead, will Jamie try to exit from his contract agreements? Or will he stick it out and see it through? I’m seriously starting to get Robert Pattinson deja vu vibes in this scenario, but Rob never hated Kristen and at least he had a sense of humor during his promotional duties – something that Jamie has not replicated.

‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ actor Jamie Dornan makes a Starbucks run with his wife Amelia in London, England on February 25, 2015. Rumors have been swirling that Jamie, who played Christian Grey in the hit film inspired by the trilogy of erotic novels, had decided to not reprise his role due to his wife’s discomfort with the film’s racy sex scenes. But his representative shot down those rumors, “Jamie is delighted that the film is breaking box office records worldwide and whilst the studio has not made any formal announcements about sequels, he is looking forward to making the next film.” FameFlynet
