Jennifer Aniston is not naive or unskilled at media manipulation, despite what she wants you to think – she’s incredibly savvy at playing the victim card, and she’s doing it in a manner that will once again engender sympathy for her. And this time, not just from the public, but Oscar voters as well.
Jennifer was interviewed by CBS Sunday Morning and when asked about her divorce from Brad Pitt, she replied, “I don’t find it painful.. I think it’s a narrative that follows you because it’s an interesting headline. It’s more of a media-driven topic.” She also adds that she and Brad do keep in touch, explaining, “We’ve exchanged good wishes and all that sort of stuff to each other, but not a constant thing.”
HAH. I can imagine Jennifer sending ‘good wishes’ to Brad Pitt after he got married to Angelina Jolie. AS IF. Jennifer Aniston can lie to the public all she wants, but she has mentioned time and time again that she found it very difficult to get over Brad Pitt, and I don’t think she’s changed her mind about the ‘betrayal’. And yes, you could argue that she was asked this question, and thus, she had no choice but to respond. But in an interview with a TV network like CBS and with a huge star like Jennifer Aniston [whether you like it or not], there’s no way she’s not going to get the chance to approve all the questions before she goes in for an interview. She knew full well that she was going to be asked about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and her reps were probably over the moon at the chance to get all three of their names in the spotlight – and this time, in a pro-Jennifer Aniston stance, of course. Never forget, both Angelina and Brad are campaigning for Oscars this year as well, so it’s bound to be an interesting awards season for this set of love triangle participants.
