Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck divorce rumors are reaching the Internet again as Jenn plans to get back to work and let Ben stay home for a change. Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck may present the image of the perfect couple to the media, especially after the recent birth of their fourth child. They get papped at the toy store, they get papped at the grocery store, and they get papped as one big, happy family spending happy times together. However, all our sources have constantly said that their public image couldn’t be further from the truth.
The biggest issue in their marriage seems to be that Ben Affleck is constantly working and away from home [thereby enabling his rumored cheating and gambling addiction], while Jennifer Garner has to stay home and take care of the brood. As such, Ben’s career – both acting and directing – has taken off significantly over the past five years, while Jennifer’s once-promising career has stagnated completely.
However, Jennifer recently revealed in the press conference for her new movie [Danny Collins], “I’ve been home for a long time. It’s my turn and I’m going to go to work this spring. I think I’ll work the spring and summer, maybe the fall too, as long as some of it’s at home. I don’t think my deals are done yet so I can’t say, but yeah, I’m about to go to work.”
And then Ben Affleck will have to stay at home with the kids, which I’m sure will be thrilling for him – not.
Honestly, I don’t see how either one of them will last much longer if they continue this pattern of working/not-working. Ben will get bitter about all the missed opportunities, and Jennifer will get bitter about her lack of a film career – at the end of the day, who’s winning? Neither one of them. But Jennifer’s put up with Ben’s cheating, gambling, and constant absences for so long that she does deserve a chance at her own career. The question is – will she actually get it, or will Ben land yet another project that he simply cannot miss?
What do you guys think? Is a divorce a possibility, or have they been through too much together to even utter the word ‘divorce’? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
