Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin have been spotted having a cozy dinner in Los Angeles (see photo above), which obviously means that their on-again/off-again relationship is still going on. Technically speaking, Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin broke up in October, even though sources claim that Jennifer’s been spotted at Chris’ Malibu home a few times since then. Initially, gossip hounds just assumed that it was a one-time rebound thing, but Jennifer staying in touch with Chris even after all this drama says a lot about their dating status. Clearly, Jennifer’s being blinded by all the Coldplay, because seriously – what the hell is she still doing dating Chris Martin?
I get it, he’s a rock star and like, soooo kewl. But the guy is still mixed up in a weird co-dependent relationship with his ex-wife, who is Gwyneth Paltrow of all people. Does Jennifer Lawrence really want to get on the bad side of Gwyneth Paltrow? That’s a lifetime membership, if you become the victim of Gwyneth’s hatred and/or grudge.
Plus, this clearly wasn’t a one-time dinner, since sources at the scene mentioned that Jennifer and Chris looked close and intimate during the entire meal. Clearly, Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow boinking and hooking up every so often doesn’t matter to Jennifer, even though she’s in a ‘relationship’ with Chris as well. There were rumors that she was hooking up with some other director dude last month, but apparently that wasn’t accurate.
Honestly, both Jennifer and Chris just seem to be delaying the inevitable. They’re not stupid, and they know this isn’t going to last – especially with Gwyneth still in the picture. Gwyneth even revealed recently that she wished that she and Chris stayed together, and if we’re being realistic, it could very easily head in that direction again. And from all we know about Jennifer Lawrence, she’s not the type of girl to stand between a family getting reunited, no matter how screwed up those parents are.
