Justin Bieber has finally come to a resolution today for his outstanding assault and carless driving charges in Stanford, Ontario. If you recall, Justin Bieber was was a part of a collision back in August of last year which involved a minivan and an ATV. The accident took place during Justin Bieber’s “bad boy” phase, and so the singer was hit by a wave of road rage which lead to physical altercation between Bieber and the other driver.
Justin Bieber’s lawyer, Brian Greenspan, released a statement at the time saying that Bieber’s weekend “was unfortunately disrupted by the unwelcome presence of paparazzi. This has regrettable restyled in charges of dangerous driving and assault.”
On Thursday, June 4, Justin Bieber pleaded guilty to the incident, which, according to E! News will mean that he acknowledges responsibility, but it is not a criminal conviction. Bieber pleaded guilty to common assault for the incident with the paparazzi. Justin Bieber’s lawyer says that he acknowledges that he made physical contact with the photographer but states that it was a “spontaneous” reaction.
According to Ontario’s Ministry of the Attorney General, Justin Bieber, “pleaded guilty and received an absolute discharge,” in regards to the dangerous driving citation, and “pleaded guilty and received a $750 fine,” in regards to the careless driving charge. Bieber appeared before the judge via video chat while Bieber was in Los Angeles and the judge was in Ontario.
This brings a close to all of Justin Bieber’s current legal issues, and he can now live as a free young man. Justin Bieber recently made it clear that he plans on changing his ways, and apologized for the way he was acting over the past year or two. Bieber has said that he wants to rid himself of the bad boy image, and focus on living a positive life. This could be a good start to that.
