Just a day after Kim Kardashian and Kanye West celebrated their one year wedding anniversary, Kim appeared on Live With Kelly and Michael and revealed that she cried when Kanye West ordered her to get rid of all of her clothes, to make room for a new wardrobe.
Kim Kardashian appeared on the talk show on Monday, May 25 to talk about her life with Kanye, and to give style advice to the audience. As we mentioned before, there has been divorce rumors following these two for quite some time now, especially because of Kanye’s controlling ways. On an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, that aired in 2012, Kanye West sent a stylist to Kim’s closet and told Kim that she would need to get rid of all of her old clothes if she was going to be seen arm in arm with the rapper.
Kim said, “It was like a pile to the ceiling of shoes. And all my amazing shoes that I loved. And I started crying. I was like, ‘I can’t get rid of this stuff. Your stylist has no idea what she’s talking about.’ So i put it all in another room and I was like, ‘I’ll trust your opinion but I’m not getting rid of my stuff.”
In the episode, Khloe Kardashian can be seen consoling Kim and encouraging her not to get rid of the things she loves just because Kanye suggested that she needs to be wearing high fashion.
In one scene Khloe says to Kim, “You know I love these,” referring to a pair of shoes. Kim replied by saying, “I know, he said they are so ghetto.” In response Khloe said, “You’ve gotta have a little ghetto in your life.”
Eventually, Kanye won the battle and Kim got rid of all of her clothes that she loved so much. While Kim says that she is happy with the transformation now, the fact that she is still talking about shows that it has remained on her mind, and that Kanye’s controlling ways may, in fact, lead to a divorce soon.
